Sig P-226 9mm Good or bad gun.

Having owned a 226 in 9mm, I feel they are a poor value for the money. $1,000+ doesn't get you anything exceptional.

Appreciating that they are different classes of firearms, I much prefer my M&P 9mm at less than half the cost of what I paid for my Sig.

Great gun...but get a Norinco NP22 (P226 clone)...shoot the crap out of it...then move up. Or buy both like I did :D

SIG P226 one of the best pistol ever produced, my SIGs works always like a Swiss watch !

Or an Italian Watch!

(don't worry, I have lots of Swiss ones too!)

My 226 runs like a top. Never a failure of any sort. It is the 226 Elite Stainless

Love it.

I have a 226 in 9mm. It's been great. I find the Sig has this recoil about it that's really smooth, just feels like butter.

They aren't cheap though that's for sure, but in the last few years maybe the price of a new 226 has came down slighty?? Tough to say.

Guess it's personal preference too. If the 226 is what your looking for in a gun your not gonna go wrong with buying one, just gonna cost ya a bit.....

Good luck! Let us know what you decide!!!!

I love mine, actually looking to get a second one shortly, propably in .40 this time.

Yes, they are more expensive than others, but at the end of the day, with Sig, you get what you paid for.

Try one before buying, you will know if it is right for you
