Call 911 and grampa goes to jail.
I imagine you are a pretty stand up guy, not looking for trouble but alot farmers hate first nations and wouldnt allow any access. Its sad but very true.
Got white tail?
I have a tag!
Oh wait, I'll just show up and shoot.![]()
White tail, moose, elk.
Fill your boots. Don't wait too long though the weekend is going to be crowded if the weather stays nice.
I don't hunt private land, seriously.
This thread shows one of the reasons I don't.
Not my land, private to me is private.
If I want to hunt it I either buy or hunt crown and on my wage I ain't buying squat.![]()
Your choice, but you are missing out.
I shot my moose less than half a mile from my house this year.
Doesn't affect me. I don't get butt hurt over someone accessing my land.
If I was concerned I would post it instead of whining to the government.
All you do is get butt hurt over everything. It’s your MO on gun nutz!
Didn’t you go whining to the government when your truck was stolen?
Once the new laws have passed you’ll be more than welcome to post your land, “Hunters welcome, permission not required”.
The RCMP is not going to do anything unless a trespasser is caught and reported. If you find anybody on your land fenced or not they must leave if told to.
Do you think the RCMP is going to start patrolling the countryside and stopping everyone they see to find out if they have permission to be there?
It will be up to the Conservation Officers and they do patrol the countryside and they will be able to check and enforce this law during hunting season or any other time.
Hunting season has been open here since sept 1st, have yet to see a CO.
Just because you have not seen them does not mean they have not been around. Now that they have been tasked with more policing duties maybe we will start to see more of them being hired. We are better off with more of them than RCMP in rural Sask.
Only 1600 people responded to the provincial survey.
Is that correct?
Private property means something, and when its not respected, the rights of the landowner needs to be protected by law. If a hunter is too lazy to search out the land owner and ask for permission to hunt on that land, he should hunt on crown land. Just because a property is uninhabited, doesn't make it public land. Seems like there'd be lots of hunting opportunities north of La Ronge.
Did you tell him to leave?
