Well, I also spray Ballistol right at the range when the barrel is hot/warm. Same thing. Like I said before, if you like water use it. I like Ballistol.

And I've never said using Ballistol was wrong. Only more expensive.
Of course, you've never said that Ballistol was wrong. I meant that you use water and I use Ballistol at the range. So, we do exactly the same thing with dissimilar fluids.
"Expensive" is a relative word here. You use solvent and oil later (your post #55) which have some assigned monetary value. I just use Ballistol nothing else.
