I don't have a problem with the little hump. Popping out the trigger group takes about 2 seconds. Then you just lift the rest of the rifle out for cleaning. But to each their own.
but then you have to get the whole rifle apart to reach the bolt, but it's up to you; i don't consider that as an ideal field strip
what archangel had to do, is to create a sliding piece for that upper hump, just like they did for the trigger area dummy... then that would be nice.
also they have to create a place for the bayonet, for people, who would like to keep it, a couple of front rail options would be nice (I am not a big fan of those though), then drop the price to 175-150Ca$ and then that would be an awesome competitor to tapco IMHO.
I clearly understand why people like archangel, I also liked it initially, I also clearly understand why people invest more than the price of the rifle into it... coz I do it too.. SKS-is definitely one of the best semi-auto platforms available here in Canada!!!
