SKS: Optics, sights & mounts.... update feb 16, 2010

My sks by Scott Deeley, on Flickr

I couldn't get the damn thing sighted in(im new to shooting with a scope) but once I do I know I'm going to love this setup. Put probably 300 rounds through the gun(in one sitting) with the magwedge rail on it and nothing seemed to move, really like it.

Have you guys seen the trueshot repeat-ability test video?
This is the ONLY mount that can be removed and is guaranteed to repeat scope zero, the ONLY one and it is SO easy to install you'll wonder why you waited.
And it has a rear pssp sight built in that is windage adjustable.
The mount when easily installed the right wan CAN NOT move left to right or up and down, it just can't move by design.

These are our favorite SKS scope mounts to date, they require 2 x drill & tap holes, but the mount is a jig that makes the job easy.
The best part is the adjustable rear peep sight that gives you fantastic open sights (think Tech sight) combined with a low profile scope mount! We are the Canadian Trueshot dealers and have helped design some great SKS products! Have a look at their products, HERE.

Heres my SKS, put a timbersmith thumbhole stock on it as well as a PSO. I plan on taking off the bayonet and putting a bipod on it. I'll be sure to post a better pic when I can.

any ideas for ~150 dollar red dot or low magnification scope?
if i get the trs25, does it need to be hi-rise since i will be using magwedge with the flat top on it, or the normal trs normally?

What sorcerery is this ? A stripper clip with a kwikrail I never seen that before that's sweet I like that option, Does it have a rear peep too then it would be perfect

huh. So now I can install some side folding scope rings to load with stripper clips... Swing it to the left, thumb down some rounds and swing the scope back to the center line.

When's the gen 3 kwikrail going on sale, I want one lol.

Just waiting on the side rails now, maybe 1 week.

Units will include one side rail. Insert rail transforms rail back to full length and is shown in foreground ... it will be sold separately.

There will be only 200 of these available on the first run, and to judge from the response we have been getting they will not last long. Dealers have spoken for half of them already and many people are emailing and inquiring about multiple orders. I will let CGN know the minute they are available and will also announce it on our FB page.

A patent was applied for quite some time ago on this system so copycats be advised.

By the looks of the insert it has the U channel the length of the rail like the gen2 does, which works as a built it rear sight. Works well on my other sks, makes a rear peep aperture under the rearward ring sighing the U channel. This will hopefully be the same by the looks of it.
