Gen 3 rails for the SKS are almost ready to sell as well .... just sayin'

I really like the looks of your Gen 3 mount. Have you ever thought of incorporating a back up peep sight in the mount that would work with the front sight? Something similar to the one M14.ca uses in their CASM mount?

Does anyone have the Razor scout mount and would be willing to take a picture of what the backup iron sight picture looks like with something mounted on the rail? I think I'm leaning towards that mount but I'd like to be sure the iron sights are usable before dropping that much on a small piece of aluminum.

1+ I've been debating the magwedge or the scout. I prefer to use stripper clips and only want to mount a dot sight but geez 80 buck for a 1 of steel I wanna be sure lol.

Cowitness barrel mount. You need a fairly lowdown red dot for this to work. UTG MNT-BR0055 mount with 4 extra screws for sturdiness, M4 0.7mm.

My SKS is the big one, the others are night hog hunters in the USA (looks like Bushnell TRS-25). It will spoil your finely tuned barrel harmonics, yes.

Edit: This is the other form of SKS cowitness in its fakedness:

Tried most mounts including the scouts, the Magwedge 2.5 gen seems to be good for the SKS-D models.

Promag one is the best if you want to use the stripper clips as a plan B, actually shown with a Trijicon TA50 3x24 Acog in 7.62x39 reticle BDC. It wasn't cheap but it's as close as I got to a legal AK.

Choate style side mount on all SKSes I have-the most solid, no pins, no need to remove for cleaning, stripper clips friendly, holds zero after thousands of rounds, moves nowhere: 4 mil spec steel screws, and a mount from westrifle-solid steel

allows to mount angle view (to shoot from the cover, from behind the tree/ wall etc):
