SKS prices in Canada

All payments are done in usd all over the world and we pay in usd . In Eu it is euro now which makes guns even more expensive.
All surplus in Ukraine is marked for destruction. Welcome to the freedom of EU and NATO . They give you loan which has a condition of destroying you rifles and then you buy their rifles and get in more debt. Democracy at its best.

Sadly , that does seem to be how it works . It mentioned on the CNN news today that Putin has offered to give some of the seized military weapons from the Crimea back to the Ukraine.....I wonder what Putins thinking is behind that idea . Maybe he believes that he would rather have the Ukraine using old military surplus Soviet weapons than modern Western supplied weapons.....

Carrot and Stick, only in reverse.

They already got the stick. Now he's going to give them a carrot, and remind them he still has a way bigger stick, so the Ukraine better STFU and play nice.

as usual someone tries to pass along some info and gets bashed for it, some things never change, and the sks naysayers, if you dont like em why would you read a thread called " SKS prices in canada" in the first place, seriously... go buy a real gun??? is this for real, if you cant have a ton of fun with an sks you probably dont know how to have fun, go strap your benelli over your shoulder and walk around in the woods for hours between shots if thats what makes you happy, anyone i know that owns an sks loves it, if you hate sks rifles you should wear a shirt that says " F.U.D.D."

Amen

this thread reminds me of the marstar thread last week , the only difference is marstar didn't just say the end to low prices but also they may not import anymore .

members didn't accused them of pumping up sales of the Chinese sks , they actually cleaned them out of the remaining inventory they had in two days.

Its like Carbon Credits, only they are UN Credits. A deal made with someone else so that you get the credits on their behalf.

Marketing & Sales
I remember Marstar saying there were no more M14's left in China to import several years ago & guess what
Then there's new approach that's catching on. ( PRE-SALE pay in full ) get buyers in a frenzy on a new item "limited supply" will be here in a couple weeks .
Then after customers have paid up front & in full tell them they will have to wait months maybe years for the item to show up.
I guess some people don't mind this type of marketing.
I like the days when stores advertised & sold what they had available for sale not what they might have for sale ;)

Lol I just bought 3 for 169 each

That's great friend. Would that be two to shoot and one for parts., or one to shoot and two for parts? Purchased my few sk's for same $ and am very happy. Still doing "torture test" on my first 1951 russian. (3 times Russian crates) Trigger smoothed out great! Whole family can shoot this rifle accuratly! I would like to believe mine and others SKS rifles are responsible for many young Canadians applying for and receiving their PAL Enjoy! Steve.

Have to agree with you. The Internet based importers/dealers all seem to have this smoke and mirrors marketing strategy. Some do it better than others. It's pretty hard for a importer/dealer to do this when they are looking at their customer face to face.
BJs7293 I asked before to leave my forum. I do not like your comments. You don't like me then talk about that somewhere else. If I stop importing Sks to Canada then everyone will fill it in current conditions. You are always mean to me and to my business. Please go away and be mean somewhere else.

I agree, there are still lots, but not like Sergey's... All I know is Westrifle always has the nicest red rifles out there, and if I'm looking for premium, I'm ready to pay a little more. Not surprised the trouble in Crimea is going to impact upon prices.

.........+1

agreed. westrifle was the first online store i got a gun from got a 53 tula sks and then got two mosin 9130 and i am very happy with the service and the product and the free shipping i recieved. i was happy to pay the 240.00 cause it was in real good shape and the service and product was exactly as advertised online. to me that makes it all worth it , but each to thier own i guess. keep up the good work westrifle.

A year ago, I purchased 2 SKS from Westrifle, a 1955 Tula & a 1954 Izzy.. their service, communication and quality easily makes up for the couple extra dollars for the rifle.. there would be no way on this blue earth, I would have ever been able to a land such beauties with out them..My Izzy does not have one blemish to speak of on the rifle..like it was made yesterday.

Thank you guys for real replies from real buyers !!!! I just don't know why someone who never bought SKS or any other item from me who is a simple mechanic has so much knowledge about my business.

Cheers
