The guys who want to ban the SKS/FMJ/"fast firing" are the same guys that will tell you:
1. Hollow points are illegal.
2. That AR's are prohibited and you are lucky that they are not calling the RCMP...This time.
3. Handguns should be illegal since you can't hunt with them and your not a police officer.
4. Semi automatic rifles are too dangerous and lead to crime - yes I have heard this
5. Skeet/trap/hunting are the only real reason to own a firearm.
6. The registry is GREAT! - who cares? no one wants their duck gun!
7. Anything more then 1 shot every 1 minute might as well be full auto fire, and as such, your lucky the RCMP isnt being called!
8. Will hassle you for not having your non restricted firearm trigger locked and in a locked case - again, watch out or the RCMP will be called. I have gotten this a ton of times.
9. Anything that can take a bayonet is illegal and again, the police should be called.
10. Lee Enfields and any other bolt action rifle MUST be pinned to five rounds or it is indeed illegal and all respects.
As gun owners we are our own worst enemies.
That's correct.I think that would be Galt sportsman in Cambridge. 99% sure...
Seriously? Is'nt this a fricken Army town???????? How receptive to "us" are the Eganville crowd?

Yes the fudds are far worse than Wendy and her goons.
translation...
this thread backfired on me!
Have you been there? Are you familiar with the club, it's location, history, circumstances? What would your advice be to an executive that is attempting to keep a range open in an area that has seen at least one closed and another come under heavy restrictions?Well then congratulations, Galt Sportsman in Cambridge, you're officially one of the worst ranges in Canada and a tribute to Wendy's anti-gun crusade.
I just hope that when the day comes that all firearms owners have had their achilles' tendons cut by this range and their ilk, that Wendy doesn't forget to pay them their 30 pieces of silver on their way to hell.

Or is the limit of your ability to publicly piss on a group of volunteers who are working to keep a facility open despite the best efforts of a small group of shooters who don't think the rules should apply to them?

So let's hear them. I'm not a member of the executive just a member of the range who isn't happy about the new rules either. My suggestions would be significantly better than "ban FMJ."
You guys need to hang your heads in shame for that, there's no excuse for that course of action.

What solutions would you suggest?
