Yes! I am Lugash!
You want the sks to weight more still?
Well I made up my mind and ordered a Choate Conventional black stock from sksman! I think it's the best IMO.
couldn't agree with you more but still don't trash that purdy stock that you refinished. As some times wood and metal look real nice even more so with the amount of work you put into it.
Since when are ati stocks fixed open?
I ordered a Chinese military issue red fiberglass stock with the blade cut-out and matching handguard from SKSman. I hear they're lighter, strong, and moisture resistant -- a perfect compliment to my Arma-coated Russian. I'll post pics when I receive it.
What is your experience with sksman? I ordered the stock on November 3, and my credit card has yet to be charged. I sent him two e-mails now, and no response. Just after ordering, I got an automated e-mail indicating "We will ship your order in the next few days." I will give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he's busy, just a bit worried.
Am I reading this right? Did you just ask yourself a question? My dealings with Paul have been great, but email is not his thing. You really got to give him a call and he will make it right. He is very good to his customers but can be a bit slow. I bought 2 T.I. 25 rd mags for my 10/22 and just could not get them to feed right, he gladly offered to give me a refund and said to send them back. Took a couple months but I got a cheque for the full purchase price, no questions asked. Your order may have gotten stopped at the border, those people can take forever sometimes. I'd give Paul a call, I'm sure all is well and if its not he will fix it for you.
Oh well, but he really should update his webpage.Another vote for factory wood because once you buy a CZ 858 and never shoot your SKS again then you will have saved yourself some money.....![]()
