Slightly Disappointed.

I have 3 other rugers and a ruger made marlin. None of them are like this.

The Ranch rifles are. Even gen 1. The demand is just so high. You may want to ask Ruger to do an exchange or help you. Since this is a US rifle, you can contact Ruger US directly. I think there is a threat in this irungun forum where they say that US warranty is better than having to go through gravelagency which provides the warranty for none grey market imports. Put it to a test. Will be interesting to see.

I have an issue with a product from a different company right now that is not cosmetic, sent out emails 2 weeks ago. Patiently waiting to hear back, but I'm not going public trying to give a black eye to them. I am giving them the benefit of doubt knowing stuff happens, they are probably busy from blackfriday and holidays. But I am sure being nice to them as well won't hurt us finding an agreement we are both happy with.

You are my man,
I have a lot of land to sell to you in NS, easy to see at low tide.
Please contact me ASAP

People can be picky
They can also be annoying. It is customers like this that would make retail sales not worth the hassle.

At the end of the day if the OP is not happy he should be able to get in touch with IGR and see what they will do for him, possibly return the item,
How is IRG supposed to know if the item was damaged from the factory or the purchaser did it? There are loads of people who are both stupid and dishonest. People damage stuff and then claim it was damaged when they received it. If I were a gun retailer, there is ZERO chance I'd take back a gun after it had been delivered to the customer.

I was assured that the rifle would’ve looked over before shipping, that was clearly not done.
All I hear is ... "whaaa, whaaaa, whaaaaaaaaa ..... "

Its a friggen RUGER fer chrissake.

If you were a gun retailer, there is zero chance people would be happy buying from you.

You first stated that it's a tool and budget item and somehow the combination of those two factors should be acceptable in receiving a faulty product.
Now your suggesting that somehow, the end consumer is at fault when I pointed it out immediately after receiving and noticing it.

So which argument are you sticking to? Perhaps you can think of a third contention to bring to the table. I'd love to hear.

Or....it was done and like most of us, the employee inspecting it determined it was acceptable.

You're expecting Lagostina cookware quality from a dollar store fry pan.

Some people cannot ever be pleased.

Lord help the Tailor who leaves a loose thread on your next suit.

Your first EE transaction will be an epic thread to read about.

At the end of the day it’s a ruger issue. If I were a supplier I wouldn’t open the box. Slap the label on and ship. Same way it’s been done for years.

My issue. Was the immediate online slandering of IRG seeing as my fist post I said “this is not a IRG issue” as my opening line.
I still stand by that. And based on their response you didn’t give them a chance before resorting to google review. Then here.
Things take time. Patients is so rare these days it’s scary.
Complaining that it ruined your Christmas cause it didn’t arrive on time. Thread created Dec 23 8:54 pm…
You don’t sound like an online order kinda person.
I’m gunna leave a quote from one of my favorite movies here.
“Screws fall out all the time the world is an imperfect place”

A lot of you have been saying I didn't give Irg a chance before posting on here. I should clarify.

I have been trying to get ahold of them previously for a shipping inquiry, could not get ahold of them on several occasions. Emails sent, unanswered. Calls went to voicemail, they were open and active, even posting on CGN.

If they couldn't attend a simple inquiry regarding shipping, what are the chances they will address my dissatisfaction with the delivered product? It felt more compelled for me to post a review to bring this to their attention, which somewhat worked. All i have been hearing back from irg is copy and paste.

I'm not here to "bash" or "slander" any businesses. I've heard fantastic things about irg so I was excited to buy from them. What I received at the end is far from my expectations and I remain unsatisfied which I feel warrants this post. Call it a ruger QC control issue sure, which is mostly the case here, but then again, my simple request of looking over the firearm is not an outlandish ask and had it been done ( takes 10 seconds..) this predicament would not exist.

I hate to be the one starting a thread like this right before the Holidays but I feel it is warranted.
Merry Christmas,

I will update this as it goes.
