so excited for my new scattergun!!!!

if it isn't, it will be after 10,000 rounds!

It damn well better be smooth for the price these go for. Would I like one? Yes. Would I spend that amount of money on one? Not likely. For +/- $1,600 you could build a custom 870 that would far exceed what WC will give you.

But if you were in business, what would you have to sell it for to make money?? Not everyone can (or maybe even wants to) build their own shotgun, if you can (or want to) then fine, go ahead and do it. If you want to spend the money that you earn on what you want - then do that. I don't get everyone calling down someone's purchase because it's not what they'd do. As long as RL1 didn't ask you to help pay for it, what's the issue.

Folks should stop being a buzz-kill...

Honing of action parts is not something I'm savy in. So paying for that is OK by me...if I feel the need, that is.

It aint rocket science.
Go to Canadian Tire and buy some valve lapping compound.
Smear it all over the slide and rack it until the resistance is gone.
Then clean it off and have a the gun blued again, or parkerized.
It'll be smooth as a 50 year old gun.

I don't know how much harder I can look, all I see is a sling loop and a knurled end on the extension?
Can you give me a hint as to what you are seeing?

Nice family Photo RL I was going to ask if you still had your Benelli.....

The top of the sling plate acts as the "clamp" and that's why I added the ""

thank you...the funny thing is that i ordered this gun 11 months ago....and Epps honoured the order price :) heck i have several pairs of shoes that cost more than this gun lol But it is not about the money...yes, i could have paid even less by going to someone like TacOrd but i wanted the Scattergun Technologies stamped in the receiver. They are the pioneers of tactical shotguns and that means a lot to me. I remember them from back in the day when the original owner got into it with Mick Strider of Strider knives on Bladeforums, how Louis Awerbuck (who i just learned passed away last year) had such positive reviews of them in his legendary video about Tactical Shotguns (my favourite gun training vid) and on and on. It's like in the tactical knife world, Bob Terzuola was the first to put many features on a "tactical" knife, such as one hand opening, liner lock, pocket clip etc. these features are all taken for granted as standard now and sure there are millions of options but none of them were "the first" as his ATCF (advanced combat tactical folder). ST was the same with ghost ring sights welded on, high viz follower, oversize safety, ultra strong mag spring, side saddle, mounted light etc.

Yer gun, yer money... no need to explain. FWIW, I like it.

Little history for you all / first shotguns that arrived in Canada were marked manufactured by Automatic Weaponary, I purchased the first gun imported at Ontario Sporting Supply, has long since left my collection / history explained down below on the original WP shotguns...

"Automatic Weaponry", I understand is the predecessor to "Scattergun Tech", which also sold the "WP" guns, as the "Model00, Concealment Model". Both companies started by Roger Small. He sold SGT to Bill Wilson"

Looks like my 870 Express Tactical but not as nice :)

You look like the Terminator BTW. Not the kind of guy you wanna mess with when you run into him with his shotty, especially with a big smile...

Because you'd want to mess with ANYONE with a shotty and a big smile???

Needs a bayonet ;-)

How about this?

ok finally had the chance to take it out to the range today..my two conclusions are 1) it shoots high 2) it kicks like a mule! Now both of these could be my fault..all my other shotguns have pistol grips (i purposely wanted a non pistol grip this time) so it could be that i am used to holding and sighting a shotgun a certain way..probably the same reason i had an FTE
