So, in the end, how did Covid 19 affect your hunt?

Deer hunting was normal. Got dressed up, walked 2 minutes to my stand and 20 minutes later knocked a spike buck over with the muzzleloader at 20yards. Ended my hunt 2 days before General opened up.
So instead of hanging around or pushing bush with friends I went to the farm with my widowed Mother and got some work done around the place before winter set in. I could have hunted the farm, but I haven't scouted the area in years. Also, a friend asked for permission to hunt some of the land with his kids and i didn't need to crowd him out.
Or Moose Fishung trip on the other hand, was a complete bust. One guy is working in the Altlantic Bubble, so he couldn't take time off wjth the quarantining on either end. Another guy comes up from the Windsor Ont area and with it being out of province, and a hotspot, he didn't want to do a month's worth of quarantining for one week's worth of fishing.
So, with only myself and one other guy, we decided that we'll save up for 2021 and see what the future holds.
We might have had a few guys interested in the fishing only side of things, but since they're army buddies of the guy stuck on the east coast, they weren't interested for this year.

Couldn't deer hunt one of our best spots as the land owner was living there because of covid. Its his cottage, He doesn't mind us hunting but I dont think he likes it so we just stayed away. Sucked but we still have other good properties so everything else was the same. We are all all local guys/family

No negative affect whatsoever. I moose hunt with three friends from work, so the social distance thing was not an issue. I Bowhunter and ML hunt for deer from home, so no issue there either. Was a great fall with some great hunts!

Moose season was limited stayed in a new camper by myself for sleeping quarters ,did a group hunt , we got two moose , everybody washed hands, sanitizer. Just kept contact to a minimum ,most everyone was local up there but myself and i had a test done before heading up alone . Just gas stops with gas and made sure was under a hundred so i could tap .gloves masks changed everytime out of truck.had a couple shots of irish whiskey when got back to camp at night. Had to sanitize you know.came back to the city and had very little contact with people ,showered everytime got home changed cloths, couple shots whiskey ,went and got tested again and went up for deer.had a great time. Ive been up there so many years and got accepted as a local.

It made ours better. No outfitters to compete with for fields to hunt waterfowl. Its amazing how much longer the birds stayed with no daily pressure from hordes of outfitters and freelancing American hunters as well as alot fewer local hunters. I rarely saw anyone scouting. I think I saw maybe three other groups all season and heard shots two or three times and I scouted and hunted almost every day of the season until deer season started. I didn't miss many. Deer season was a different story though, never saw so many other deer hunters as this year!!

Stopped it cold. Had 2 short hunts planned, one with a friend, one with a relative. Relative has a politically sensitive job, so no go there. Friend, threat of government fines, perhaps work repercussions, locals reporting to the covid police, etc. More social pitfalls than church conference....

Everyone was healthy pre-hunt. We got in a pick up and drove, figured it was best if we "quarantined" in the bush for two weeks. Just in case someone got sick. End of two weeks everyone was healthy except for a couple elk. Gave ourselves a clean bill of health and headed home.

It screwed my spring bear hunt but i had a great whitetail season. Taking 4 with crossbow. 3 on opening day and 1 with muzzleloader. My opening day luck left a couple buddys tagless so we didnt hunt much. I then stretched my acl in my right knee which effected me way more. However covid may screw my spring bear hunt yet again but it gave me 4.5 months off work so i spent it with my daughter and went on a 2 week kayak trip. Good times

Its getting hard to ask permission. I pulled into a dairy farm yesturday, Thankfully caught the owner outside, I wore a mask when I asked him which I think made it worse LOL. Got the ok to hunt coyotes he was happy I asked. But I don't want to show up and just knock on someone's door in these times.

I 999'd my draws in Alberta because I didn't want to travel so I missed out on Elk and/or Mulies plus missed out on going on my brother's draw moose hunt.

We'll see what the deal is for fall.

The only negative impact we experienced from the covid measures was not being able to do any visiting with other folks during the hunting seasons.
My wife, son and myself mostly hunt as a family, so it was business as usual there.

We were very lucky to call in a great moose. My wife and me both took good whitetails.
My boy passed on a small whitetail buck, citing that we had plenty of meat already. That made me proud.

the owner closed the camp, he was too afraid of Covid19. So we rented an RV and sat it on his land with his permission. Normally we have 12 guys, but this time we had 4 guys. But we still got the deer.
