Highly unlikely. Prices might come down a bit between now and then, but by the time you've used all that ammo (which is 7-8 years by the numbers you've listed) prices will have gone up significantly from what they were pre-invasion. Surplus ammo prices have basically doubled in the last 10 years, and the rifles have doubled in an even shorter time period. The days of surplus being dirt cheap are gone, and unless China finds an entire warehouse full and decides to flood the market with cheap product, I don't see prices going anywhere but up long term.

What about Canada Ammo? Weren't they making it at some point?

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize that a guy who is bombing nuclear power plants and residential neighborhoods is a terrible person...

Ah because we clearly know who did what. yes. sure.

Wake up, both side are full of shiet.

And btw im ukranian.

Canada ammo was making some and when they had them i stocked a fair bit since it was non corrosive but as far as I could tell from the stuff I bought was made of pull downs from Chinese surplus with replaced primers so non corrosive I think the powder was new too. But they definitely got more expensive especially since they went later on to non steel core commercial bullets for indoor use. And if China is really deciding to hold onto there supply I take a gander that canam may not have a huge supply left either I also haven’t seen them post any in a while too.

Do you honestly want to support Russia right now?

Lots of people around here clearly do. Even Ukrainians apparently - who are also apparently bombing their own apartment buildings and nuclear plants, because I'm being told it wasn't Putin....

It did occur to me that I hadn't seen any from CA in a while...

In a strange turn of events, now that Covid's gone, mainstream media is to be trusted again. We've always been at war with Eastasia.

Who do you think these sanctions are hurting? The only ones it’s affecting are the poor and middle class Russian families just like us.
Just because the President of a country does perceivably evil stuff doesn’t mean everyone in that nation are guilty too.

1) Covid isn't gone.

2) MSM should never be blindly trusted.

3) There is a big difference between applying critical thinking to the media you consume and assuming its all fake based solely on the source.

You guys still believe what the media tells you? Ukraine is clearly a liberal media plot. Wake up sheeple, just like the moon (which they also faked the landings of),Ukraine isn’t even real.

lol good take.

Ukraine isn't real. Putin never invaded anywhere. This is actually just an IRL version of the movie Wag the Dog. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wag_the_Dog)

Well let's see......so far the MSM has used footage from a video game (arma3), fox showed video of civilian "soldiers" with cardboard cut out ak 47s, they ran with that Ukraine model that bravely took up arms to fight the Russians showing pictures of her with airsoft rifles she posted on her social media in 2016 ect

Yes Russia has invaded Ukraine but I think there is alot more going on here than what it seems. And the state sponsored media are ####ing liars and not our friends full stop.

Norinco will happily produce as much ammo as the market wants, they’ll set up more factories if need be, first rule of retail “supply and demand”. A ban on Russian supplies will only increase their production to supply the increased demand.

if you have a hard currency they will happily supply what ever you want.

I expect we will all have to move to white box norinco

Most surplus was made long ago by communist governments not paying much for labour and stored for years … it’s been said before, new production chinese ammo isn’t that cost saving compared to modern production capabilities in the USA using automation. Even their 45 ammo was made long ago for the long lost American civilian market … notice it isn’t available anymore.

Hardly going to be a 7.62x39 shortage. It's probably the most stockpiled and produced round in existence thanks to the ever plentiful supply of Kalashnikovs and various off spring. Cute that this pops up a week after the invasion kicks off. Most supply is Chinese now. Russian, Czech, Romanian surplus dried up long ago. Norinco still has factories pumping this stuff out by the hundreds of thousands per day. Just because your supplier can't get it, doesn't mean others can't. Artificial manipulation of supply is a scummy way to raise the cost of crates already paid for and landed in country, whether it be the importer or the retailer.
