So where are we now?

No, they wouldn't. If you think a country force another country to accept a pipeline going through its land (without actually using force), you must have been enjoying too much of that newly legal MJ. And if you look at a map of Canada and remove AB and SK, you can be 100% sure that no pro-oil government will EVER be elected.

I'm not a fan of jason kenney, I think he's an idiotic political pupper most of the time, but he was right when he called the wexit party a complete nonsense.

So do you pucker up to Notley's ass? And the Bloc Quebecois is not non sense? It seems like they have quite a bit of support and are able to advocate for their values & perspectives.

Bingo! As if a guy from Quebec has anything to say about Western self-determination. The irony is palpable. It's almost laughable....

I'm unsure of what hope there is. Canadians elects leaders who provide them easy answer to difficult questions, they wont work but they sounds good in principle. Our major cities are becoming crime infested, poverty stricken holes. I've only been shooting for two years and I'm glad to have had that opportunity but I can't invest more into this hobby given that it is very likely that my property will be seized by government soon. I really wanted a gsg-16 too.

The trick is to do something legal, that protects one individually and sums to significance if many do it, is hard for the libs to defeat, can be easily reversed if we get an ally in govt. and does not harm any third party like retailers or the general public due to collateral damage.

There are ways to do that ...........

Since only police and soldiers will have guns, are action movies in Canada going to be filmed with wooden replicas?

Bang, bang you're dead!

That'll knock the stool out from under part of the BC and ON film industry.

Federal court has demanded that the RCMP hand over the serial numbers of their handguns?

Maybe where we are now is going to include all sources of guns on the street?

This is where the USA 2a has it right.

They take all the guns, and then 20, 30, 40 years down the road, Canada “elects” a left leaning tyrannical socialist government.

Then the people are slaves and helpless.

They are going around the globe.

Australia
UK
NZ
Mexico
Canada

USA will probably be the last Alamo for civilian fire arm rights.

Not a good time for us people.

.................. unless we adjust our ways. same old / same old (but just try harder next time mind set) has a proven track record of not working - in spectacular fashion.

Notice my sig line, the USA got smarter three years ago and we still don't get it.

But criminals cherish these new tyrannical gun bans which mark a historical new begining for safer crimes, they celebrate everyday, they laugh their butts off and they say:" Thank you JT bro, for dramatically improving our job safety, the only PM ever who really pulled off something to make us criminals safer as we now truly can "harvest" the disarmed population at a safer level than ever thought possible. God bless you bro, you're the best PM ever, now back to the handgun smuggling business!"

Gun rights are the canary in the coal mine.

If you want to see where a country is in 20 or 50 years, see what they are doing with guns right now. Because, inevitably, erosion of 'inconvenient' rights such as gun rights and free speech lead to the erosion of the rest.

To me, this is about more than a hobby or someone's job (though those are important). This is about where we're headed as a country.

What's this thread about again?
I'm here to learn what'll happen to my ARs, not climate change or pipelines.
Can you guys discuss that somewhere else?

People don't vote for or against anything gun-related. Well, no one other than a few dozen people on this board, and a few dozen gun-grabbers. It's not an election issue for 99.9% of the canadian population. So whatever happens to your ARs will be decided during an election during which almost not a word will be spoken about ARs, one way or the other.

What will decide which party will take power (and at the same time, what will happen to your ARs) will be climate change, women's rights and pipelines. So, if you want to keep your ARs, you better get interested in those subjects.

This

When soviets invaded poland they took the gun rights, followed by increasing taxes. when that wasnt enough they took the food, clothing and anything else and shipped it off to the elites who lived like kings. This is the future if we dont stop it now.

we had a third option with ppc but canada wasnt interested so im not sure if any of this pendulum swinging will change.

Well said! People look at me like I am crazy talking about tyrannical governments and shrug it off.

I fear for my children. Seriously.
