I haven't explored yet much beyond Varget, cause it just works for me. Here's some load data I came across.

The thing with RL17 is that there is no reliable book data for its use with the '62 so folks may be reluctant to experiment. My research told me that burning rate is very similar to H4350. So I tried that. Started at 64 gr and went to 67. No conventional pressure sign(primers still rounded and tight, easy extraction, no extracter marks on the brass). But I've also read that pressures can go from ok to 'holy s___" with a small increase and with no warning.
At 67 gr, my velocity was 2454 fps out of a 21" barrel. Recoil was brisk with my 8 lb rifle.

i just bought a pack of 20 rounds of 293 gr rws ammo and it says out of a 23.5 inch barrel the velocity is @ 2430ft/s. Now that is one hotload.
Yah, i wont use it on small game. For that ill use a 140gr 6.5x55. Ill probally use my 9.3x62MM on Moose, elk, caribou in the future. For my all around hunting ill use the speer 270gr bullet @ 2500fts.
yes they are a little hot .... what i can say is that that ammo and round is not made for small animal otherwise it will pencil and not expand the TUG or whatever are great but if you choose really the game on it.

Is anyone shooting cast in ther 9.3? I tried a post in the reloading section but responses were low. It would seem well suited to cast and a load @ 1600-1800 fps would compare pretty well to the HV .38-55 load for woods walking and practice.
