Someone needs to make a 7.62x25mm lever action

A better choice fer me would be a Win m92 carbine in 45 ACP like the Argentine police rifles from years ago.

I had a bolt action 9mm Spanish Destroyer carbine for years that was great for plinking & hunting pest critters with. The 7.62x25(30 Mauser) is a zippy
little number that would be fun in a light bolt gun or single shot using handloads or factory soft point ammo. For a lever rifle like the M92 or Henry big boy,
it would be a hoot.

If Lee Enfields can be altered to .45ACP and 9x19, one could certainly be altered to 7.62x25. Set it up to use Tokarev magazines.

As far as a lever action goes, it would be akin to .32-20 in performance. No idea what it would take to alter a Winchester/Marlin/Henry lever action to 7.62.

A modern Remington 14 1/2 in 7.62 would be interesting.

Marlin made their Model 56 in .30 Carbine. Hotter than the 7.62. The design could certainly be made in 7.62.

Is surplus 7.62x25 abundant in the states? Really seems the only way to get something like this done

Would be cool to see Lee enfield/ Mauser kits in this calibre that take tokarev mags like the 45 acp ones. Not sure if this is feasible with the case dimensions

The 9mm lever action idea seems to come up a lot, the Henry forum what should we make thread for example. Is there some mechanical reason no one has made this? We have a variety of rimless lever cartridges and I’ve seen integrally suppressed custom 45 ACP Henry levers on Instagram that I can’t find anymore

The appeal is the cheap ammunition. How long will this last? What appeal would the cartridge have if only new commercial ammunition were available? Is it even made in North America?

I always thought the appeal was a zippy little projectile in a small package that isn't a restricted firearm?
The cost doesn't hurt, but I honestly don't understand why anyone can't see the merits of this cartridge outside it's surplus availability.

A '92 Winchester in .32-20 does that.
Availability of commercial softpoint 7.62x25 marginal.

Or 30-30 when people want 7.62x39. And I don't remember seeing much milsurp ammo with flat points.

The cheap ammo is already starting to dry up a bit. Look at the availably of 303 or 7.5x55 Swiss surplus. Just noticed someone on the WE selling 8mm Mauser surplus for almost $3/round.

Might be a case for 9mm but why try to compete with the 357/38sp which was also once cheap and plentiful because of the police force use...
