Southern Alberta Precision Rifle League Match: June 3, 2017 Taber Shooting Foundation

Fantastic match! Huge thanks to everyone that made the match happen and the awesome sponsors. Very well planned and executed! Lots of amazing shooters as well. It was a blast and very well organized. Thanks again guys! Lots of fun and I look forward to the next one.

Well guys, SAPRL Match #1 is a wrap.

I hope everyone who made it out today had a lot of fun.

I will try to keep this brief but I missed some things earlier today.

Chad M.: Chad put in an insane amount of hours getting ready for this match. We had redundant targets all over the place today but those things were so well put together we did not need them. I don't know too many targets that can be set up at 200M and take a beating all day long.

Shawn R.: All of those ridonkulously built props today were put together by Shawn. I am sure all of you guys appreciated the solidity of them compared to my rickety barricade that features regularly at my Milo Matches.

Greg H.: The ability to run 4 squads allowed this match to run quickly and be the largest PRS type match in Western Canada.

Finally, all of the above gentlemen answered the call about expanding the sport in Canada and lots of work was involved. These men gave up lots of personal time and sacrificed their own shooting to help put this on.

Finally I would like to call attention to a guy who really embodies the sport and was truly a world class individual. We had two junior shooters at the match today and Calvin M. helped one of them all day. Calvin lent this young shooter equipment, coached him through the stages, and made sure he had a good time. Even with all of this extra effort today Calvin killed it at the match.

We appreciate the feed back span 09. There was a great turn out and it was good to see everyone get out and support the growth of the sport. Big thanks to all of the sponsors, volunteers and shooters for all of your help taking down the match. Great shooting everyone, especially the juniors and we hope to see everyone again.

To Ryan and the crew, fantastic shoot!! It was challenging, not only with the creative barricades but the switchy SE Alberta winds and smallish targets. It was thoroughly enjoyable. To the sponsors and volunteers a huge thank you. Insite Arms, MDT, AB Tactical, Wild Rose, Big Tex, and Hirsch to name a few without you these things don't happen. Glad to see Troy from Korth out there representing as well. Shooters looking to help each other and raise the game, great to see.

We all had a great time today!
Thanks again to Ryan, Chad, Shawn and Greg for the huge amount of time that goes into such a successful event; it is this dedicated effort that continues to grow this format of precision shooting in Canada.
Congrats to Kris on the win!
We appreciate the opportunity to be a part of this match!

As stated above, awesome match guys. Totally worth the drive. Will for sure be at the next one! Also the sponsors were great, I will be giving them my business in the future!

This was my first match and I wasn't sure what to expect .I had a great time. The set up was amazing, the targets and barricades etc were built amazing, all very sturdy and we'll built. Everyone I met was really amazing and helpful. You could see everyone was out to have fun and wanted to make sure everyone else had fun. Great job on set up and all the hard work put into growing this guy's. Look forward to many more.

Thanks to everybody for coming out, it was a hot day and without the sponsors and volunteers this could not have happened. Also huge thank you to the taber range who allowed us to use their facility, this is a very young range and a fantastic one!

Awesome match guys, thanks to Ryan, Shawn, Chad, and Greg for putting the match on. Its was very obvious a lot of time and preparation went into making this match happen. Congrats to Kris for the win and great to see some familiar faces. Also thanks to the sponsors who stepped up to the plate to support the match and the shooting community, that goes a long way when making the decision where to spend your money. Much thanks to Range Rabbit for the 16" steel gong and stand and Hirsch Precision for the Lapua bullets. Taber has an awesome facilty and much thanks for the use of the range. The drive from Edmonton was well worth it and look fwd to making the trip for future matches.

Great match ! Thanks to Ryan, Shawn, Chad and Greg for putting it on, I really appreciate the effort you guys invested and thanks to the Taber range as well, great facility!

I had a blast it was a challenging but fun shoot, congratulations to Kris for the win.

Thanks to all the sponsors as well, it was great to see that everyone got something from the prize table, and thanks again to Red Star Target Co for the Armageddon Gear Kit bag I took home!

Big thanks to the organizers for putting together such a well planned, executed and fun match. Was a great experience for myself as a first-timer. Great group of supportive and knowledge people to shoot with.

Massive thanks to all the sponsors and volunteers who made this happen as well. I can't wait for the next one!

This was without question the best organized and run shoot I have ever been to, which says alot as I have been to many shoots of different styles in the past 40 plus years.
Well done guys!! Keep up the great work. Hopefully once I get healed up better I can actually shoot a match too.
The props were well made as someone else mentioned which was a real bonus for the shooters.
The range even though not finished yet is a major accomplishment and kudos to all of those involved with the making of this facility.

Wow Ryan and crew. In almost 40 years of shooting competitions from DCRA to PPC I can say without question that your match was the best organized, run and executed that I have had the pleasure to be in. The stages were well thought out and very challenging. Huge kudos to your team for the obvious hard work in setting the various stages. If there was ever a match that graphically demonstrated a person's training and development needs yours would be the one. Well done. Please keep it up. I will be back.
