Spray painted rifles

I would call the GREEN gun Zombie Camo...

others look damn good btw

ya sometimes I just have fun with it.
You never know what your gonna get with milsurp stocks...no 2 turn out the same. Old varnish, grease and oils make a big difference on how the paint or stain reacts to it.
Some cammo paint is garbage and bleeds with the other colors. I am certainly No professional,.its all trial and error.

Definitely not camo, but won't have to worry about not seeing it. My son picked the colours for his 22. I should have painted the whole thing white before I started, it would have made the colours more even.

yeah good question. I have been practicing my rattle can skliiz on some old metal road signs. They still stink a month later. I am using Rust-Oleum Specialty Camouflage.

Two colors

Good work on these, folks.

What's the latest recommendation for paints that don't still stink months later?

You have to let the paint cure for a week before adding a clear. Just because it's 'dry' doesn't mean it's done off gassing. Putting clear on too early just slows down the off gas process.

This thread makes me sad as it reminds me of all the excellent DYI painted AR's that have been banished to the back of the safe.

Here is a M305 that I lost in a boating accident.
I was going for sort of a 90's GI JOE tiger stripe thing. The pics don't really do it justice.
