SRV2 Siberian Reviews

I put about 150 rounds through it today, in between load development of my bolt gun.
Had no issues with mags or ammo.
All reloads, Campro and a few v max.

Someone on Canada Guns Reddit had their Siberian BCG break in under 50 rounds. Hopefully that's a one-off QC issue.

As my old MSc supervisor once said, "once is a fluke, twice is a pattern".

I'm curious to see if this is a one off, or a problem like the early WKs had with their bolt carriers.

I shot one yesterday. Just 20 rounds. Didn't like the trigger but the gun feels nice overall. I would buy one if I didn't have MCR's and 180's. Actually, who am I kidding? I'll probably buy one anyway. :)

It's a more refined 180 with better controls and features, feels lighter and less clunky. closed receiver is nice. The owner is buying a LPVO for it so maybe I'll get to partake in some accuracy tests too.

I think you need to expand on what "high round count" and "minimal gas system service" actually means Laugh2

Based on what I've experienced with 180s, they'll keep on chugging well past 1500 rnds.

After about 8000 rounds I Finally broke down and cleaned the gas system on one of my MCR rifles. It wasn't even that dirty. A few passes with a bronze brush and some solvent and it was clean. If the Siberian system is anything similar then I doubt cleaning the gas system is going to be a real issue for most people. Maybe a once a year thing?

The reddit OP said the receiver is mangled too. These Canadian shi* sticks keep getting more expensive and less reliable.

I can vouch for NEA/BCL warranty, they were great to me the many times I had to use them. I assume they've only gotten better over the years since I've last dealt with them.

let me tell you a story. Henry makes cheap products but sells for premium money. He is very great to his customer because every time he would replace the whole product for free when anything fails. Over the years he had replaced so many but still he makes lots of money. I asked him why, he said the money I sell for one would cover 5 products.

i guess its a new world record for broken sub 50rd.

I believe I hold the special record for this, NEA AR15 had a barrel extension failure at 5 rounds. I was told it was due to poor metallurgy. They may have changed their name, buts its the same pig with new lipstick when it comes to QC.

Who is Henry?

The more things change, the more they stay the same....
