Stag 10 build and range review

I'm not sure if they shaved them down.
It’s been a couple years, but I recall there being issues with Fortis Switch and the LP GB.
I thought they were removing a small amount of material from the GB to fix the problem.
But there was also an issue of the switch flexing to much.

Anyway , that’s why I got a Kac URX for my MV.

Now , all this only matters if accuracy is of the upmost importance to you.
If you don’t mind a scatter flyer, then Switch away:)

Would you consider trying a 139gr Scenar, the 142 SMK, or 140 Berger Hybrid? The ELDs have a secant ogive and can be sensitive to seating depth.

I know the Bergers are pricey (and hard to find) but they are very jump tolerant and may help tighten things up a bit as well. They also have a very good BC.

The SMK & Scenar are cheaper and easier to find but don't have the same BC as the Bergers but are still good bullets.

I say this as someone with zero gas gun experience but I know that traditionally AR mags are short and getting to the lands can be tough.

I just shot a five round group measured at .953.
165 SMK tipped and 45 g Varget.
At 2800 col.
My mag will allow 2845.
Problem is , I’m not sure what my my max jump would be as I don’t have the correct tool to measure the chamber Lenght.
I may load them up to 2830 and see if they fit:)

I’ve got a few more loads to test, all are around the 45 g of Varget that worked well.

Also I think the barrel is not a match barrel, to say the least.
And I’m stepping up to a Geiselle national match trigger.
So maybe that will tighten them up.

I really love the Berger Hybrids as they are best of both worlds but it costs you as they are $$$.

Their BT line of bullets are also pretty good and jump tolerant and cheaper.

I would take a piece of brass, drill out the primer hole, sand the inside of the neck so a bullet will slide with a little friction. Just put the bullet in the case a bit and push the cartridge into the camber. Push a rod through the primer hole up to the base of the bullet and mark it. Remove cartridge and measure your overall length. Then you will know how far till the lands.

woohoo!
I gots me a 15" Diamondhead VRS T 308H handguard on the way ...... gonna be badass
Should fit as it's the one pictured in Arms East Stag-10 artwork and Stag offered it on a limitted run of rifles that already sold out stateside.
They come with the armalite barrel nut or the dpms barrel nut so had to make sure I was getting the right nut.
Will let ya'll know source and total cost once it lands in few weeks.

Any more accuracy improvements?

No, I’m pretty busy now.
