Stag 10 wont pivot open

I was told by Stag there is a batch of rifles with a problem like this on first batch and some jazz about a washer or crush washer and machine being out of tolerance...no idea lol.

If you are new to the black rifle then send it back because tampering with the buffer tube can lead to another issue which is the buffer stopping on the pin. Many out of spec pieces can damage the receiver or the pin and scar the buffer during operation as the dimensions should have the BCG stopping the forwards motion when the rifle is into battery and not the pin. Get it looked at.

Spyderchop if you want to see how these rifles shoot while you're waiting for yours to get back, PM me and I'll take you out to the Chilliwack or Agassiz range. This rifle will not disappoint you. I have a couple of the Stag 10's and mine have been flawless so far (700 rds).

Hey that's awesome I'm out in agassiz now and then. That's a nice offer.

She like light or heavy bullets?

Cheers

I plink out to 200yd with hirtenberger and norinco both are under 150 gr. The steel case norinco shoots high compared to the Hirt but I get better groups with the norinco. FYI I'm an early morning shooter cause its cooler, quieter and more trigger time :)

There's only 1 fix. Send it back. That's inexcusable for a factory built rifle and never should have made it off the assembly line.

BooSSted, you are right that is inexcusable. How can the factory let this #### out the door. I have a rifle coming from Arms East, and frankly I'm worried I'm going to get a lemon. I shouldn't be having any concerns considering what I paid for this rifle. All I can say is, this rifle better work properly or someone is going to get an ear full.

I would be prepared for anything lol. This will be my third rifle after returning 2

They say that the third time is a charm. However, it is bull####, that the two previous rifles were lemons.

This is how my stag 10 looks like.

That's fine because the buffer can be pushed back and still be able to close the upper. The original problem was the buffer tube was in too far and preventing the upper from closing.

I’m new at this as well and am trying to learn
So could you please explain how the buffer could go past the pin?

Or are you saying that the pin placement is out of spec?
