Stag10 build short stroking issues resloved !! I needed a Armalite gas tube ??

Well it seems the rule is.. The tip of the gas tube needs to be at the middle of the cam cutout inside the upper or you will probably be under gassed .. I actually just read some threads on AR15,com about this short gas tube issue with these builds and even factory rifles out there. wish the barrel makers would just standardize .

This is the difference between an AR10 and AR15’s gas tube.

Barrel differences between the Armalite and DPMS. The Armalite gas port distance is greater hence the need for a longer tube.

I have a MRA 18.6 pencil barrel in 308 that i havent yet installed. It measures 13.25 inches from the end of the barrel extension to the shoulder the gas block butts up against.

So if i understand correctly a regular ar15 rifle length tube is what im looking for, right?
