I think the Challenge should be left at 100, but nothing stopping you from posting your 50 yd targets. What is the deal with not being able to shoot offhand at outdoor ranges?
Apparently it's a safety issue.

successfully did the challenge today but i cant post pics
We are not allowed to shoot standing to 100 yards at any of our outdoor Quebec clubs. 50 yards is the best I can do indoors. Can I join if I can shrink the target to a 3" circle?? I want to join!! Wahahahahaa![]()
Sooo, how do the members in Quebec practice three position shooting, silhouette. or 300 meter free rifle? ??

The boy can shoot.
I find very light rifles to be difficult to hold steady offhand... a little more weight really steadies me down... 7-8 pounds seems to be my sweet spot... I don't know if there is validity to scaling the platform to the body mass... but that could have something to do with it.
Most silhouette guns I remembered were in the 10 lbs range.
Agreed, being so light they hold steadier than most, and like you say the stock is shaped for field shooting. This little setup comes in at 5 1/2lbs all up with scope, you forget you're holding it, needed such a rig for goat guiding.
