StG 44

HEY YOU;
Perhaps a short trip to our site will provide you with whatever information you need....?
Of course you are basing your opinion on price on your personal observations and trials ?
John

John

Yes, I am basing this on my experiences. and trials, don't you? While the last '44 I shot was also the first I shot, it was enjoyable and not difficult to clean. If you have the resources to personally own a replica, I wish you the best!

I know how about the importers who risk thier time and capital and reputation trying to field what we want stop looking at anything that will retail for more then 500 bucks. Just because you can't afford a Porsche does'nt mean the price is out of line.
The price on these German Made Quality firearms is exactly what it should be or maybe a little cheaper then they should be.

Hey You How much did you pay for the last stg 44 or mp38 you bought??

David

No question about it. I currently do not require one, so I cannot afford one. I have no problem paying for quality goods.
Just for ####s & giggles, what did you pay for the last '44 or '38 you picked up?

Mike

Hey You;
Yes I base my experience on actual use.... I bought my first Mp-44 (FA) over thirty years ago.... shot it a lot, enjoyed it.
I own an MKb42h, an MKb42w, an Mp-44, an Stg44, sold my Mp-44/45. Yes I like these guns.

Damm...nice freakin DEWAT

whats with the Parkerized finish?...or is it phosphate?

The finish is phosphate, and it is open for straight trade for your functional one, Sean LOL!
I have seen the prices all over the place. The one on the Guild I think is definitely out of range. In the last 15 years I have seen them sell for between $800-$3000, depending on finish, whether #### and click or not, ect....
Great for display, nice piece of history, #### and click, ect... I have even lent it out to reenactors for events and such. But just a shame most of us cannot own an original functional one.
Except for Klunk and a few others of course!

I like Dewats, they're cool and original.
But they somewhat remind me of a blowup rubber doll !!! LOL
After the #### and click is gone, you have to imitate machine gun sounds with your lips!
Ain't nothin like the real thing baby!
The repro is cool too, not original, but it fires ammo.
I guess they're both cool, in their own ways.

The dewats are good for display and reenacting. I know almost everyone who has interest in WW2 are usually just happy to hold and "fondle" an original, feel the weight, ect. And no hassle. Being more of a collector than a shooter nowadays, it suits me pretty well.
But nothing like the real firing functional though, I do agree!

Hmmmm....$3000, that's about 5 or 6 square feet of real estate in Calgary. :p

You know, I understand that you meant that to be funny, but it isn't, and I find the insinuation offensive. Alberta is awash in oil dollars, no question, but there is a large portion of the origional population that is struggling to maintain against an inflation rate that is higher than anywhere else in the nation - probably higher than anywhere else in the western world, here in Calgary. That is very, very tough for people to deal with, especially those on fixed incomes.

Your characterization of Calgarians in this sense is offensive and wrong.

You know, and just to expand on that, the majority of people who are profitting from oil dollars are from out of province and will go back on home as soon as they can.

Inflation has stayed at a reasonable level so far. The greed of individuals and businesses will push it up inevitably. I just wish the influx of ppl would slow down. The traffic it Phuking rediculous.

I got a dewat Thompson that was tastefully done. the clip still comes out and
you can still split it ito its main groups. Worth every penny to me. I love the look on ppls faces wheen they see it hanging on the wall.
