You don't start paying interest until after the grace period, which is usually a month or so.
You didn't have to use a credit card to pay, you could have just used a MO, if you wanted to avoid any chance of incurring interest.
No, if you already have a balance on your card, the interest starts the day of the purchase. You don't pay any interest if you pay the whole thing off before the grace period each month. Ususally I do this, but I've had some rather large purchases the past 2 months, so I have not been able to do this.
Oh yea I could of sent a MO, but just like some of you have said, but I may not get my rifle for a month or two. So if it's no big deal to some of you, you can lend me the $3400+ next time, and I pay you back when the gun show!!! There is no reason the charges have to be put on my card before the gun is sent. For those that don't know, when I bill someone at our office and the transaction if refused with Visa, we know it right there and then. So what's the big deal??? (some may say, well then the guns in your name, and they don't have their money.... well then they give me a call, and if I can't pay, they just phone CFC and cancel the transfer, it's happened in the past, as I've cancelled a transaction for a rifle after it was transfered to me, and the dealer said no problem.(I'd purchase about 4 other rifles off him at the same time)
Anyway, enough of this pissing contest, I know now I should of just kept my mouth shut, and just phoned them this moring, but hey, I get pissed once in a while too. I never ment to imply that Marstar was billing me and just holding my gun for the fun of it. I'll be calling them today to sort this out, one way or the other.....
