Sticky : The CZ / Bolt action rimfire picture thread !

Just thought I would mount the 3X fixed power Nikon on the 452 and 455 to see how it looked and felt.

After years, I finally have the scope/rings setup I wanted on the Cz 452 American.

Scope is a gloss Leupold VXII 3-9x33 AO EFR, rings are Leupold 13mm dovetail Medium height.

LRP in the process of getting it set up for ORPS & CRPS.

Going to try to hold off until next year then get it in a competition chassis and upgrade my optics. So far I am very happy with how it has been grouping. With my limited precision shooting experience I was able to get a few 3/8” groups at 50 yds off a photography tripod. Can’t wait to shoot it off a bench and see what kind of groups I’ll be able to get.

Looks great!

What camera tripod and clamp are you using?

Thanks man, the tripod I’m using is a comparatively inexpensive one that as a kit came with what I guess would be considered as a kit ball head that I clamp to an arca rail. The model name is Cameron T300BH. With all things considered it works OK for the current weight of this rifle, and the setup is much quicker than dragging my foldout table into the forest (I’ve been shooting on crown land so it’s a bit of a hike from the truck to my spot. Since I doubt I will ever see the use of tripods in CRPS or ORPS, I’m not sure an upgrade is warranted... for now.

Nice! What ammo are you using for that rig?

So far I’ve only shot SK STANDARD+, SK PISTOL MATCH, and SK RIFLE MATCH through it. RIFLE MATCH being marginally better than STANDARD+ and PISTOL MATCH @ 50 yds. This weekend I’m going to drag my table out into the forest so I can do some more accurate testing with some Eley club, Eley sport, Midas+, and rws50. I’m hoping it doesn’t like the Midas or rws 50 or else I’m going to be poor.
