Sticky : The CZ / Bolt action rimfire picture thread !

Need to add a nice bipod. Any suggestions?
It's 9.4lbs as is. Bit of a workout. Haven't tried yet, nor adjusted the scope.
Looked at the mdt acc but that one was over 10lbs without the scope!

Using an Oryx on the old 452/455 action is a genius move. The chassis is so flat that you need to run high scope rings no matter what, rendering the 90° bolt throw a total non-issue for optic choice.
Thanks; less expensive action, same barrel selection. Unfortunately, the oryx is not made (I asked) for the 452, and the 455 does not fit the 457 Chassis. I love my very early 452, I still consider these to be CZs Apex .22.

Just set-up a CZ 457 MTR for a friend where this will be his first gun ever and first time out at the range.
The exact same rifle and accessories as mine except with a different scope.

I installed the scope twice (the first scope was defective) and sighted it in the other day. I also cut out the Plano case foam for him.

And it shot pretty well after getting it sighted-in...5 shots...

Are the synthetic stocks decent on the 457's?
I'm looking for a 17hmr upgrade from my Savage 93G heavy barrel, it's decent, shoots alright, just kind of meh everytime I take it out lol.

CZ 457 Varmint LH installed in a modified XRS Chassis.
Calgary Machine shop has the cnc file to modify/inlet the chassis. Send PM for more details
Has not been anodized to match because i am an impatient person.

As much as I loved the look and as comfy as the Thumbhole laminate stock was the comb height was too low for this scope setup and the forend was too short I found on some barricades in ORPS. So I set it aside (will be used when my son out grows his scout stock many years from now) and dropped the action into this MDT Oryx chassis. I will be Running open class next season.

I am going close out last two course of fires this season in production running my CZ 457 Canadian with a 2-7 SFP scope with a half mil dot reticle (just think it be fun to try going ultra basic).

And of course I also have my sons CZ457 Scout.

Thanks for your kind words; I have put slightly higher Weaver steel rings on since that photo was take, as the Glades Armory bolt handle would just barely touch the scope. I went to medium rings, and it is perfect for me, with just a bit more lift on the cheek riser. I did have to switch to a flexible cleaning rod as the cheap aluminum one was a bit tight going in the YoDave bore guide.
