Say Thomas - when you planning to open up your 'smithing services again? Do you have the Navy brake in stock or do we have to provide our own?
Thanks
I'm in a real rock and a hard place. Over the past 3 years you folks have watched me doing clinics, adding my two cents in the forums, building a reputation and a product of quality and truning out rifle work that most folks seem very happy with. Many folks have suffered delays and those pesky "anyone seen the doc?" threads would pop up and my name would be mud for a bit

, but for the most part, I remain swamped LOL
Now I face an ever growing demand for both of my talents, stock making and custom or repair work to m1a and m14 type rifles. It's at the point where i must chose one to put 110% into as BOTH are suffering with 50% dedicated to each. Right now I'm attempting to get canada post to cover two lost stocks to quebec , wildphiil and JFB have been waiting a real lon time for me to settle this and get them replacements. which by the way guys, are on thier way, finally.
So...... rifle bench must remain closed for the time being unless you are someone who has booked for an LRB build. These are going to be photo documneted at every step.... I'm kinda excited.
I will be hiring two people for my stock department. These folks will have to be living in the area i am in. I moved this business to a "depressed" community that I have some life long ties to in an effort to build a business that will one day employ several folks from my community. And cuz we all rednecks up here LOL I fit in well
I do plan to return to the bench at some point but need to train a crew of folks to get this stock making up to speed. If you need a refferal, I am happy to recommend Dlask Arms for barrel shortening and thier dovetail gas lock front sight, they do not do service work on the rifles, just the barrels, sight, flash hider/brake, usgi spec RWB oprods.
For full service M1a/m14 work.... I don't have experience dealing with them myself, but i hear great thing about the crew at Elwood Epps and there was a fellow associated with P&D Enterprise, who's work i've handled and it was also top shelf.
I kinda rambled there...... so back to the thread
