Late to the party, but if you're considering getting a Glock, I would suggest an HK SFP9 instead. You pay a bit more, but the totally customized grip and upgraded trigger are totally worth it. Don't get me wrong, I started using a Glock, but after having an SFP9 for almost a year now and putting a few thousand rounds through it, imo it's superior to the Glock. Especially if you have large hands.

I've often wondered if a guy like that would pack such arrogance if he were face to face with a CGN'er,,,I think not, but you never know. I do know if you packed that much attitude where I grew up you better know how to go :)

I have had PMs with the Kidd and AB. I’ve also talked to people who have seen “them” shoot. All agree that he/they can shoot well. But no one is sure if who they saw is really who they say.

I asked Kidd if he was TDC and AB if he was the Kidd. They all claim no knowledge of each other. Then again, you must believe everything on the internet!

Hahaha,, perhaps we are dealing with a case of split/ multiple personalities,,,AB might not even know he is KiddX :)
 
Still Alive if he comes back in another incarnation it will be on you. :>)

If you go back far enough on this forum you will find a picture of TDC aka KIDDX aka ABBlaster posted by Wes B. who also is now in the pink. I forget what user name Wes used but someone will pipe in with it. He lives in Calgary and last I heard he was working for one of the indoor ranges in that city.

To Edgy's point TDC is about 5' 5" and would struggle on most play grounds I grew up on back in the 50's....still would. :>)

Well if the OP is not confused he should be. Here is a recap of those pistols recommended so far in this threa in order of the number of suggestions:

Glock - 22 Votes
Walther - PPQ/P99 17 Votes
SIG 320/X5 - 10 Votes
M&P Gen 1/2 - 10 Votes
HK SF9/P7 - 9 Votes
FN 509 -3 Votes
Six others got <3 Votes

I consolidated by manufacturer to be fair as Glock recommendations varied as to model as did Walther, M&P and SIG.

For value for money as much as I suggested the PPQ M2 or Match the M&P used on the exchange for $450 either Gen 1 or 2 would be the best dollar for value out there. Of the newer pistols the PPQ M2 & Match and the SIG 320 & X5 versions would seem to be the better buys in the higher end price wise. The Gen 5 Glock was mentioned only once if I recall correctly.

I would be interested to hear what his final choice was.

A SIG 320 is better value than a $450 M&P.

Ummmmm. Not if you only have $500 to spend. :>). Is there really 33%+ more value if you are talking recreational shooting? Maybe, but I doubt most would shoot one 33% better than the other. I do agree though the SIG 320 is a step up in quality but how that translates in results on target...not so sure.
