SU-16c rifle

No...Its restriction has NOTHING to do with barrel length. The Model is cosidered RESTRICTED!!! It could have a 75" Barrel and still be restricted. (like an AR, etc...)
I want some proof to back up your claims because I see nothing in the OIC about the SU16.

As it sits right now, you are pulling information out of your ass and making yourself look stupid.

Me thinks that this is the section that applies.

"restricted firearm" means

(c) a firearm that is designed or adapted to be fired when reduced to a length of less than 660 mm by folding, telescoping or otherwise, or

The version that had the trigger assembly fold out of the way when the stock folded would not fall under this. But since this appears to be able to fire when folded then it would fall under this section.

Boltgun

Boltgun, that's what I thought he might meant at first, but then he goes on to say that length has nothing to do with it and the model is restricted by name.

Has Gunblast ever found a firearm that they didn't like? Because I have yet to find a review of something that wasn't favourable.

Irrelevant.

The only one with a barrel long enough (or almost...) is the SU16A which cannot fire while folded.

I don't know why its been deemed restricted. In the FRT they list a 18.5" model as restricted, just like the 16" model, etc... Barrel length does not seem to play a factor in making this firearm restricted.

What I meant by the "just like an AR" statement was, No matter the barrel length, the AR is still considered restricted.

The Kel-Tec SU16 is a restricted firearm, as per the FRT. What more proof would you like? I just looked up the gun and quoted the information.

...how does that make me "pulling the information out of my ass and make me look stupid"??

Besides, if you doubt what I'm saying, look it up in the FRT yourself!!! (anymore dumb questions can be forwarded to my ASS!!!) LOL

SU16-A
Barrel Length : 18.5" 470.1mm *
* Barrel Length measured from breach to muzzle

No other keltec rifle has that asterisk beside its measuring, so it is POSSIBLE the reason it is restricted is because it measures under 18.5" by the CFC/RCMP/whoever.

who really cares. It has to be the ugliest rifle. There are a few better looking non restricted in Canada that puts that thing to shame(AR180B, Sig552, etc). Kinda reminds me of the Califournia AR's. An abomination. If they are in Canada, there has to be a good reason they're not in every gun shop.

...Yeah, I agree, who cares?!?! I think, the original question was "whats the classification of the Kel-Tec SU-16...." Botton line, it's RESTRICTED....who knows why?!?!...and who really gives a crap!?!? ...It just IS!!
