SU16 barrell crack.????

You're right, we all need to have effective killing machine... Civilians AR will only ever be used (with the current laws) to punch holes in cardboard, or erode steel plates. Nothing a 22LR can't do, even at 100 yards.

At least, with my T-97, I can poke holes though coyote, which is getting a bit more fun than paper and steel.

You sarcastically say we all need a effective killing machine then in the next line say at least your T97 can kill a coyote? Contradict much?

Yes, they'll both shoot 100 yards but there is a huge difference between them and what about for guys that want to shoot their black rifle 300 yards? Maybe 600 yards? Does your 22LR do that the same? Can the SU-16 or T-97 reliably hit targets out at those ranges? What will you do with your T97 when something breaks and you realize your $1000 rifle is disposable because there are no parts available and no warranty?
There are more options in the non restricted 223 category besides the SU or T97, much better options as well if you are willing to spend a little more money.
I'm sorry so many are limited to a $1000 budget but I work hard for my money and I don't let my wife tell me what I'm "allowed" to spend my money on.
Sure I could live without an AR but why would I? I can enjoy what I consider to be one of the best rifles out there and still have a couple non restricted 223's for coyotes and rabbits or whatever away from the range and then have my larger rifles for hunting as well as long range target shooting.

I'm not saying no one should own a 22, only that I would never spend $1200 on one, especially if I sank all that money into one and then couldn't afford a scope for it. To me, if working with a $1200 budget putting $700-$800 into a 22 and then $400-$500 into a scope makes a lot more sense.

lol , just when you start sounding have sensible, you say something stupid, are you on the booze? Because I didn't have a scope on the.22 didn't mean I can't afford it. And I'm sure if a .22 hits you in the head , you won't think it's a toy anymore. Lol

Lol, I might be a little tired from getting up at 4am the last few days for work and I may wish I was drinking but no booze yet today.
A 22 is to a 223 like an airsoft is to a 22. It's not a toy but it's not in the same league and saying they do the same thing is far from accurate.
