I assembled it myself with a little help from Casey at Tacord as I spend a lot of time hanging out there.
Sent you a PM.
They write down the serial number and have to keep a record of it. That serial number does not get to be registered when they do the PAL verification. No different when you buy one privately, only the PAL verification. Unless I personally know you, I run all my selling thru the system, and get ref numbers.

I saved pictures of this rifle to my phone years ago when you first posted it as I wanted to use it as inspiration for a build. Haven't got there yet but I still love the look of that rifle. I wanna do something very similar but maybe with a carbon fibre barrel. Just need to finish a few other projects first. So many guns, so little money...
Well if there's anything I regret selling(and I've parted with lots of them) This would be the one I regret most. I'll build another just like it, but the only thing I'd change is probably adding some flutes to the barrel.
Dang, going thru this list and seeing the builds, especially that last one rifleman338, has got me thinking.
I'm in the process of putting together a 6.5 CM, and have a 26" barrel already for the bench work. I was going to get another carbon barrel in 16"-18" length so my younger son can use it as a hunting rifle in between range use. Seeing these makes me wonder if I should be getting a 12"-14" barrel instead. I think the 6.5 CM with 12" should be plenty accurate for distances at what he will be shooting at. Will look very similar to rifleman's work, sitting in an XLR magnesium chassis. Will have weights for range work, and those will come off quickly for hunting duty.
Will be sitting in a cadex action, with ibi barrel, so barrel nut for quick change ups of barrels. Plan was to try the swap a few times and see how accurate the swaps go from barrel to barrel if they stay consistent. Then just work out a scope offset for each.
I have done scope off set for different weight bullets from same caliber, so already know how that works. Just a matter of how consistent the barrel swaps stay from each go round.

I have a 16.5” 308 and a 19” 300wsm that I would love to be 16”. I’m 99% moose hunter so in BC it has to be at least 12” to hunt with. The only calibers that would crank my tractor in something that short are the traditionally found in leavers. .358 .375win, .444 but 8x57 or 350RM should work. If-in I was a dog hunter a 223 will still get you about 2900fps at 12”, that’s lots for most dog distances.
Funny when I started to think short 30ish years back guys would razz me wolves circling a moose. There were howls of contempt when I cut my 300 to 19”. Not one moose protested the velocity difference. Huh!

I posted this 16" .308 over in the precision thread but will put it here too since I built it to be a compact rifle.
I had an LTR once but regrettably sold it. I wanted to build something like it, but better. I wanted a shorter and tighter twist, threaded barrel and a stock with side cups for a backpack sling. This rifle is a little tank. It feels like it could withstand a nuclear blast.

The data can be used another way, like an in and out.
If you have 6 PAL checks it's likely assumed you have 6 guns, and if you check the PAL of s 3 times, they can likely assume you have 3 guns left.
The data will be really unreliable though as it doesn't take into account the pre pal check system someone has
As soon as you read all the persons digital communications, emails, PM's texts etc, the picture becomes clearer.
The modern world of data collection means that gun registry's are not needed for the most part if the Govt has access to the data freely submitted and is willing to bypass charter rights in the name of safety and security.
I run a few 14s, ran a 12, and run a 16. The 16 was meant as a brush gun, works fine, the 14s were a 300blk meant for subsonic, and when that got boring I had it reamed to 300wm. Works fine, 308 performance from a short handy rifle. As for accuracy it all depends, I usually go heavy barrel, and they do just fine, frankly the 300wm does as good as any other 300wm I have had.
Cost, I bought chassis for them, then sold the chassis, stick with the regular stocks now, helps keep the price to just a barrel.
