Surprises on CanadaAmmo.ca

You bring a lot of good points Jzz30tt, yet I have to say in my opinion that was not the smartest way to build costumer loyalty. What did they think it was going to happen??!? Did they really think people who paid the original price will be cheering them on once they see the "new" promotion?

Just my 2c.

So by your logic they should have just continued to sell at the $499 price then... so as not to upset any of their customers who had already purchased at that price???? Give me a break.... some people are never happy and always have to ##### about something. Sure it stings to think that you missed out on a better deal but don't try to muddy the reputation of a great retailer just because you feel crappy for missing out.

No Infanteer90...

I am not trying to muddy the reputation of a great retailer...at the end of the day CANAMMO can do whatever they want. I'm pointing out something very obvious that you are missing, in my opinion that is not a way you build costumer loyalty or treat someone who just spent $500+ dollars at your store. What they should have done (and are doing right now) is to post the new price and in that post offer $100 store credit to anyone who has purchased the ammo before this special. You don't have to major in business to figure this out... If they did that we ALL would have been WOWed and only posts you would see would be "ROCK ON... YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST".

Also I never said I bought .308 ammo from them...where did you get this idea or are did you just jumped to assumptions?!?!

Enjoy you day,
GB

No, I'm not missing that point... it's really no different then a store having a sale or adjusting their prices for any number of reasons... there is no obligation on part of the retailer to offer that lower price to those who missed out, period. The fact that they are accommodating those who missed out on the new price is outstanding but it definitely shouldn't be expected.

No, I did not assume that you had purchased ammo, but my wording could have been better. I was speaking in a general sense but I see how it comes across. However, my point still stands with regards to Canada Ammo's reputation.... you were accusing them of less then ideal business practices. Did you think that was going to help their reputation? Regardless, you shared your opinion and I disagree with your position so let's leave it at that. In the end we either support a company for the way they operate or we don't.

With all this #####ing and moaning, if I were them I'd be hesitant to drop prices quickly again in the future. They're being chastized for offering the shooting community a better deal! I'm sure they do it because it's less of a hassle than to price-match every other order, and saves them time when competitors are priced lower.

Maybe it would be prudent of them to come up with a price guarantee for xx days, whereby if their ammo drops in price within that time frame, the customer can ask for store credit for the difference or something along those lines. It would spare us these posts, and set a definitive time frame instead of handling them case by case and hearing about how so and so got "ripped off" (even though they seemed perfectly satisfied buying at that price originally?) Food for thought Can Am!

Do other hobbyist forums sound this much like a support group for some intense, pathological behavior?

I do this too....

This is super hard to pass up- can anyone tell me the quality of this ammo as far as accuracy? I dont consider 308 a close range plinking round for me its too expensive(22lr!)- not expecting 1 MOA but will these make it out to 300 yards without self-destructing/10" groups?

I have an 8x8 and a 12x12 steel that I like to set up at range just wondering if these would be good enough to hit those at medium ranges. wouldnt even consider it but I cant even reload for $400/1000....

these groups are from my AIA with this ammo on two separate range visits at 100 yds
