Swiss Arms Sniper (some pics and first impressions)

How many of these would be sold in a given year in Canada? One, perhaps two? It's a buyer's market in my opinion. Even if there wasn't one commercially available here in Canada, he could locate one by other means.

In a buyers market the supply would outweigh the demand and buyers get to set the price, lower than sellers were willing to accept. So if you offer $10,000 for a rifle that someone paid $5800 for several years ago, because supply is limited - that's a sellers market. The seller gets to set the price, and the buyer has to accept it if they want to goods.

Plus, don't tell someone how to spend their money. Don't comment on it. Don't troll. Just enjoy the fact someone is doing well financially. Jealousy is super ugly. Anyways...d:h:

As they say only accurate rifles are interesting. For the money does this thing shoot bug size groups to 600 yds?

"They" are wrong. If the saying was true, only F-Class guns would be interesting. There is such a thing as accurate, and a thing as accurate enough. There are compromises.

That's true, but you can build ARs that will print 3 inch groups at 600 yards and I would call that level of accuracy interesting. Is this uber expensive Sig capable of that?

Lotta sour grapes about the price of that fine rifle. Enjoy the hell out of it.

It's not sour grapes it just seems an awful lot of money to pay for an unrestricted long-gun, which is likely to be reclassified to restricted, or even prohibited, the next time the opposition get into power. Currently a premium is being paid for this rifle due to its classification status, interest will diminish substantially when reclassification occurs. Just my 2 cents.

It's not about classification or accuracy, it's about the collectors value.

It's just not "a rifle that shoots X grouping @ this money". It's not just 'another gun'.

Don't you think the market value will drop once it gets reclassified to restricted or prohibited status?

It's not your rifle. Why do you give a flying f*ck?

It's his money and he made an informed choice to purchase that rifle with it. Either admire the gun in this thread or go somewhere else if you have nothing positive to say.

Point taken! Nice gun!

I don't understand this thread. A good guy comes on and shows a nice piece and very rare piece, especially in its condition, and guys flame him for spending his money on a piece that is appreciating in value. These guns hold their value and the op will not lose a penny on it. The only reason for criticism is envy and jealousy as there is no financial reason to flame the guy as he made a good move. No its not a excellent investment as it won't make any money,(it will however keep up with inflation) but neither will it lose money so its not a bad buy at all.

for the flamers this is a great way of discouraging fellow nutters from sharing their toys on the thread.

Apologies guys.

No worse then buying a bike, boat, sports car or any other guy toy ;)

If you have the money to spend and you want a cool toy buy it!

His gun will hold value vs. us guys buying an atv for 10K or a TV for 10k will be worthless in a few years.

Outstanding gun! All you need to do now is have a dead coyote by it.:D
