Greentips,
I always think long and hard before making any purchase.
There are always pros/cons to everything. Why someone makes a purchase always interests me. That being said there are certain things that might sway an opinion. For example it could be the best firearm in the world, but if it's really ugly some people will refuse to buy it. That is personal preference and does play a part in the decision process (although to a lesser extent than other factors).
Cyborshooter. The Les Baer AR-15 ultimate varmint is $2500 before tax in Canada. So it's $500 cheaper than a Swiss Arms PE-90
Les Baer: Restricted. AR, I like the style. Jewell match trigger, stainless bull barell. High quality forged. 1/2 moa or less guarantee. $2500.
PE-90: Non-restricted. Swiss quality, fairly accurate (although not specifically designed for common North American Match ammo). Gas piston system, reduces crud, wear and some recoil. No bull barell. Cost $3000 before taxes
HK SL8-4: Non-restricted. Based on German G36. Gas piston system like the PE-90. Bull barell, trigger less than that of a G36 and said to be pretty decent. Considered to be fairly accurate (not as accurate as the Les Baer however). Cost $2200 before tax.
Lots of choices out there. I wish I could afford to buy one of them all
