I have a couple of those, a metal one like yours and a plastic one. They are not much use at all really, especially with a bipod and a legal 5 round capacity.
Who cares about use when it looks cool?people pay 200+ for drums that are even more useless..
Yeah it would have been nice if the bipod was adjustable
They could have used a system like what the mg34/42 had
Love the plates!

So I put 220 down the pipe today, not a single issue - very impressed.
I had to mess with the front post for elevation and windage, but got in on the 24" gong center within 5 shots - then dialed her in at 100Yds on paper. I was able to hit the 6" plate 10 for 10 sitting on the bipod. Then went out to 200 and 300 (16" plates), used setting 3 on the rear sight - needed to aim 1 plate low on the 200, then hit POA for 300. Fairly consistent hits.
I can’t figure this picture posting out. I have Flikr , I don’t see any “manage attachment” option in the advanced post screen , there’s a type 81 Facebook page I posted pics and range review.
nice wood color on the lmg. i do agree no bipod nor carry handle it is great.
Please post some pics of your new T81 LMG out in the field, range in your basement and wherever.
No politics or talking about why my gun hasn’t shipped
Thanks
Here is a couple of mine. Still have not shot it because I want to give it a good field strip before I do.
The wood is stained. They all look like mine in the picture above.
