T 81 LMG Just pics and no bull

Couple hours with a Dremel well spent.. fitting that long RPK magazine is definitely worth the time.

I have a couple of those, a metal one like yours and a plastic one. They are not much use at all really, especially with a bipod and a legal 5 round capacity.

Who cares about use when it looks cool? :) people pay 200+ for drums that are even more useless..

I'm disappointed with the bipod, it could do with being adjustable. That said it's handy to be able to put the gun down without laying it in the dirt if nothing else.

I got the sights dialed in today, it was shooting about 12" to the left at 100 meters. Once I got the irons sorted I co-witnessed the red dot.. I had it right up against the gas port but discovered I could not get the lens covers on so I moved it forward a little.. I was half expecting it to shift forward on recoil but it has not moved at all, it's rock solid. There is not much recoil to speak of anyway. There is next to no gas coming from the end of the gas port, I suspect none, the lenses of the red dot do not get smutty

It's on target now, I will get it fine tuned tomorrow weather permitting.

Yeah it would have been nice if the bipod was adjustable
They could have used a system like what the mg34/42 had
Anyone else worried that the spring in the bipod might decide to pop out and disappear?
Doesn’t seem like there’s much holding it in there

I suspect it's because the type 81 feeds from underneath, try using a magazine when the bipod is a few inches lower. The Bren gun has a fully adjustable bipod but it feeds from the top, the MG34 and 42 from the side.

So I put 220 down the pipe today, not a single issue - very impressed.
I had to mess with the front post for elevation and windage, but got in on the 24" gong center within 5 shots - then dialed her in at 100Yds on paper. I was able to hit the 6" plate 10 for 10 sitting on the bipod. Then went out to 200 and 300 (16" plates), used setting 3 on the rear sight - needed to aim 1 plate low on the 200, then hit POA for 300. Fairly consistent hits.

What size thread does the Type 81 LMG have? I see you put a muzzle break on her, looks like its from a Turkish shotgun.. Thanks
