Not sure you understand what 'edgy' means, but okay.
The mount is nothing new, and only the locking mechanism got revamped (stop-notch instead of compression hold). It's a common-enough mount design that you can find copies on aliexpress. That said, I wish you could buy the rail-and-safety alone sans the mount. It's not the prettiest, but it doesn't clash too much.
If you want nicer looking, buy combloc designs and be prepared to pay more. I don't like it either but a rail+mount for 200 is more than reasonable. I got a NPZ AK Universal for 175, but obviously that didn't include a made-to-order rail which, I expect, is where more than half of that 200 dollars went.
Club Foot is love, Club Foot is life. Get your eyes checked.
The rail is thicker than most, but that's to do with the slimmer T81 receiver (at least on the lower half). Not really an issue compared to other solutions, as the difference wouldn't be noticeable without using a scale.
As someone who went through the trouble of slapping glass on a Type81, this is a great deal. That said, I got some reservations (see the appropriate thread on the TI subforum if you're curious), and I wouldn't have bought it before getting those answered if I was still looking for an optic solution. Don't buy mounts for less that 100 dollars, ever, and any PSO scopes for less than 300 dollars, all of which through reputable resellers. Anything less and you're buying airsoft-tier Chinese bootleg.
