Hey guys, I got a question for those who have either used Tactical Innovations T.I. 25 mags or have had a similar problem with other mags. Heres whats happening: Ive adjusted the set screws for a tight fit in the rifle, but only the last round will feed, all others jam. The round is stripped off the mag, and the lower most portion of the bolt that catches the round and begins feeding it digs into the bullet of the next round and jams every time. Only the very last round will feed. Ive tried adjusting the mag this way and that but there isnt alot of room for it to move, it seems to me like the steep upward angle of the follower is the problem. BTW this is with both CCI Blazer and CCI Velocitor, both of which feed flawlessly from a factory 10 rnd mag. I get the odd successful feed with Velocitor but mostly jams, 100% FTF with Blazer. Anyone have this problem? Solutions? Ideas?
From left to right: older Ramline 30 rd, new Shooters Ridge 30 rd, Promag 32 rd, T.I. 25 rd. Notice the steep upward angle on the T.I.

A few rounds in each:

Promag on top, T.I. on bottom:

And both T.I.'s showing follower angle:

If the promags can feed 32 rds reliably with alot less angle on the follower, then why do the T.I. mags have so much angle to them?

so I filed the followers to get the rounds to match the angle of a factory 10 rd. mag and now they feed rounds into the chamber reliably but the mag jams at 9-12 rounds, they wont take any more than that. It wont feed rounds into the chamber with any more angle and wont feed in the mag where its at. anyone else had this issue? this is an epic fail for $130 US for 2 mags, now Im pissed

So Ive filed and filed and filed the hell out of the follower, a little at a time and then tested it. The only ammo it will take 25 rnds of is Blazer, all others jam the mag at 9-12 rounds. The Blazer starts off feeding fine but the last 4 or 5 rounds jam every single time. Same problem with the bolt digging into the bullet. The follower has so little angle on it that the last few rounds are hitting the front of the feed lips when leaving the mag. Rem yellow jackets hit the feed lips and jam. I contacted Tactical Innovations and followed their instructions for adjusting the set screws and filing the follower, I cant file it any more and it still wont work. What junk

This is how it looks now
Fit is "really" tight and notice that the screws are not ajusted equal on both side.
Also, I didnt rounded the follower like it was before

Hope this help, good luck

Thanks Mangil, Ive got even less angle on mine (more filing) and its still a jam-o-matic. I took my barreled action out of the stock and adjusted the mag as per Tactical innovations instructions which made no difference. My $30 shooters ridge works better than these over priced failures. I'm going to call SKSman and see if I can get my money back. I'll stick with my shooters ridge until I can try Ruger's new BX-25.

B.C steel lips have worked for me 100% with no issues...
Ya ive got a few much less expensive mags that work pretty good, I figured for over double the price the T.I. mags should be the best. They sure act like it anyways

Hmmmm......
I must have six T.I. mags and NEVER had a problem with any??
Maybe you got one that was made on a Friday?? ;)
Both the ones I got are just the same, bad batch maybe?

Same here, I wrap em with hockey tape for a better look and feel.
Let's not forget to mention the BT-Loader!! what a treat that is!!:rockOn:
I'm goin back to my Shooters Ridge, the extra wiggle doesnt affect anything and they work 100%. I can get 4 of em taxes included for what I paid for these 2 T.I. mags. I sure hope I can get my money back. Thanks to all for your input. I geuss the most expensive parts arent always the best either.

Don't adjust them for a completely tight fit in the rifle, mine work best set loosely. With the screws up as far as they are in the pics, you'll have issues.
My ti mags feed more reliably than my shooters ridge and butler creek mags for what it's worth...

they werent adjusted in the pics I posted, I said I adjusted them as per T.I.'s instructions. No dice on 100% reliability. If I file anymore follower they wont feed at all
