Well, not looking to boost your ego right off the map, but...
Years of reading all kinds of articles in rifle magazines, one can conclude that:
a) People spend serious gobs of money on highly customized rifles in hopes of attaining groups like that...and often still can't.
b) Tactical rifles...mostly costing big, big bucks...are the rage now, mostly to shoot groups like that.
c) Most gun writers maybe ain't really all that good off the bench???
d) Both rifles and ammo, for all the usual griping, indeed have come a long, long way with regard to overall quality and ability to deliver consistent sub-MOA accuracy.
I'm increasingly of the opinion that, by today's standards, any manufacturer that can't deliver a rifle that, all things being equal, can't punch MOA groups with reasonable quality factory ammo for about $1000, give or take, probably ain't up to snuff with the competition, and needs to seriously consider cleaning up its act.
Just sayin'...
