Hope this hasn't been covered already. I couldn't find a previous post to this effect.

Apparently a problem has cropped up with the drilling of the gas port hole on the first versions of the non-restricted T97s that are currently being sold as outlined in the following thread.

http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php/980100-Gouge-in-barrel-land-in-t97

I am given to understand that the CanadaAmmo versions of the T97 are somewhere between the 'not manufactured yet' stage and the 'they're on the boat heading here' stage.

If it's the earlier rather than later stage you might be able to short circuit a lot of customer dissatisfaction by checking to make sure the same issue won't arise with your version.

I know you're usually very much on top of these things but I thought it would be worth mentioning anyway. I also have a self-serving interest because I've been waiting patiently :D for my order to get one since around 2009 and on top of the great price not having this problem would be a bonus. :dancingbanana:

are they all like that or just the one in the other thread?

PS I read the thread and it seems they may all have it on this recent batch

I will be taking it up with the factory and ensure it does not happen on ours

Hey Can Am,

Would it be possible to fix the magwell to accept more polymer mags? Also, the mag catch might be 1mm too low, would there be a fix?

Bigger rear peep! Thinner front post! Goose neck mount to allow the cowitnessing of a red dot!

If you do these things, I'll be a happy boy!

Cheers
Jay

Good to hear. Another reason I don't mind waiting a little longer.

I am happy with a wishlist, we will make the changes towards a better gun.

this is why I love canam.... best price, best service, I cannnot (read most certainly can) wait for the better/cheaper t97s from can am... more features on can ams t97s will just further cement that they are the GO TO place for everything gun related.

I was even worried that we might not get the bayonet lug, but seems like that is still a feature on can ams t97, so again, good on you folks!

Personally I'd like to see this lower either replacing the current one or available as an aftermarket upgrade.

The whole gun is shorter btw. Not the same gun.

I can't believe nobody has asked for a threaded barrel yet! So, for the wish list, barrel with standard AR15 threads please. :)
