Tanfoglio?

To tell you the truth.. i can't really tell the difference. It may make a very small difference in the cycle time.. probably in 1/100s of a second but i do enjoy shooting both of them.. i cant really tell in my times when i use either.. perhaps its because im not the best shooter ... LOL ... But i will tell you that having this gun has really helped my shooting immensely.. I do use the LC II in competition.. the LC is my backup gun but have been using it alot lately trying to get that Henning trigger to work on my LC II... Both are very fast and accurate..

Hope this answers your question..

If you need help adjusting the trigger, let me know. They can be a bit of a bugger to set up the first time. But man o man... once set up, they are cleaner and faster than anything this side of a Anschutz match rifle.

Hi Juice..

Thanks for the offer.. i think i have it now tho.. it appears that Henning sent me two trigger springs and i thought they were the same.. i recently put in the other one and it is much stronger. I was having trouble with the sear resetting after a shot but i think it will work now.. am going to test it tomorrow. One thing i did notice is that you cant adjust the trigger pretravel too close to the sear reset as what will work by racking the slide will not work when you fire a shot.. I agree that the Henning trigger is a big improvement over the stock trigger.. cant wait to get it working properly...

I may be contacting tomorrow night.. LOL

That was one thing i forgot to mention. I found my sweet spot by trial and error. Mine now rests 1/16-18" PT and then you are 'on it' anything from a fart to a sneeze, once there and the gun goes off. You are right. Not enough and the trigger will not reset. Basically I adjusted mine until there was no reset, then went in a full half turn and locktited the screw.

I'd have to scale my trigger for an exact weight, but my Model 46, and 41 are only a CH lighter in pull.

The really nice thing, is no matter where your finger rides, the weighting stays very consistant.
One more thing, I adjusted my overtravel to be right on the edge, as I do love a clean trigger. Especially important with the hennings kit is to get that one right. I had not enough OT one match and... gun would not fire.... dumbass... I had checked it 3 times, and it worked fine, but i was too close.
Another 1/4 turn solved that one.

On an El presidente or other speed shoots, I keep my finger 'on it' and just jeep the gun moving. Wonderful speed increase. Just remember to let the trigger go... my only complaint, is once it is set up for you, it can be too easy to forget to let the trigger reset, only to pull the trigger again, and nothing happens, lol.

Other than that, I sure love it. Can't wait for the .357sig topend and comp to come back with mine. I plan to shoot open with iron sights .. just to be different, and see if all the silhouette shooting has paid off.

I love these guns, they are awesome. Also, to the question asked above, I prefer to shoot the Limited Custom ll, with the lightened slide I find there isn't as much weight swinging around on the end of the gun making it return better with the sights lined up for a second shot.

your guns are too pretty,..they need to be shot more..>LOL.. Mine are dirty and scratched,..I clean them once in a while

How do the similarly priced models compare to each other? If one had less than $1000 (preferably as much less as possible) to spend, would you be better off with a CZ (like a Shadow) or an entry-level Tanfoglio (one of their Sport or Combat models)?

Hi there..

I do have another Tanfoglio pistol but it is a Match in 9mm. Its a single action, double stack pistol which is does not have a bull barrel... I use it for IDPA competitions and it is very accurate.. but it is a bit over the $1000 mark at $1200...

What do you use for a holster & mag pouches? Does Blade Tech make a DOH for the LC2?

I have one of the new DAA Race Master holsters. For mag pouches I am using CR Speed ones with a little extra spacer (piece of leather belt) added to get a good fit. They are the same mag pouches I used for my CZ Tactical Sport mags.

I'll have a detailed review of the 10mm Combat model up next week. So far I am not impressed. I don't think this gun is gonna last long unless I water down my loads to .40 S&W levels...

I received the same gun this week, the quality is excellent! I am wondering about full power 10mm loads, the chamber walls are quite thin compared to my Glock G20c 10mm.

Im very concerned about the reported slide cracking failures, but it appears my Witness is out of the serial number range for the safety recall.

anyone know why these things sell for a 40% premium over the same stuff in the US?
its sold under the EAA name.. but the same stuff
EAA does 50 times the business that Canada does and has had a relationship with Tanfoglio for many decades and therefore gets a significantly lower price.
Add in the duties that are required for importing Italian guns to Canada and you see a major price difference.

Tanfo. limited

Who in Canada carries "hennings" grips, mags etc..? Just got mine 2 days ago and havn't stopped drooling since, going to need a drool cup I think, can't wait to shoot it

I don't know anyone who carries Hennings products in stock. I just order straight from Henning with no problems. He is super to deal with, never had any issues myself. From what I hear if there is a problem, he is more than willing to make things right.
