taping up your muzzle while hunting?

Nobody is tactical rolling, but we are getting out of the lawn chair.

Sounds like a recipe for galvanic corrosion. Just use electrical tape.

While I agree that electrical tape is best, it seems a stretch to bring up corrosion related to foil that would only be on there for a few hours, when so many guns have aluminum and steel mated together already...

If you don't like tape you can always get one of these fancy European doodads. But you can't shoot through it.

Finger domes, assorted pack to accommodate different girths, roll em on your barrel like you would a ##### condom, protect your barrel from the dreaded mud like you would if you are a lucky man with a dirty lady and don't want mud on your helmet.

I have always taped the muzzle of a muzzleloader, but never a rifle. Then on opening day of deer season last year I wiped-out while walking through a big mud hole and jammed the muzzle of my rifle right into the goop. It required a walk back to the camp to get a cleaning rod to clear and clean the bore. I am not sure if tape would have kept the firm mud out of the barrel, but it sure would have been better than not having it at all. WK
