Tavor Accuracy?

Oh, darn, one of those. Sorry I fell for it. I didn't think they could do that.

So lets say I went with a boiler shot. I know a T3 would be fine for accuracy, and think the Tavor could do it. The T97 um I don't know. Thoughts? (inside 100m)

I think you should put the idea of hunting deer with a <.23cal out of your mind and use the proper tool for the job.Just because it's legal, doesn't mean you should, nor that it's right, nor ethical.Head shots are risky as you've conceded, and .224 bullets don't deliver the shock and energy to reliably drop deer in a timely fashion with less than perfect/marginal body hits.Smaller wound channels and weaker blood trails hinder tracking and recovery efforts.Imho, mature trophy northern WT bucks that can easily top 300lb live weight deserve more respect then a gopher gun can deliver.

True true. I get what your saying. Head shots are risky. I have not had one fail yet, but I don't take poor shots. I shoot from a rest, and do not use thin jacketed varmint projectiles. I do not take 300lb bucks. I prefer <200lb doe's. The odds of me even hunting a deer are slim in my future. I have about a 1 in 4 chance of wining a doe tag and I don't bother going out for them unless I have a doe tag. The chances of me getting one before my back completely packs it in are lean. But it would be nice to get one more.

Some details please. FTU? Optics? Ammo? How many rounds in each group? Details of the rifle mods?

My T97 shooting 55gr is probably 3 moa average. With S&B 69 grain match I was getting ~1.5 moa in 3 shot groups.

FTU, Bushnell AR 3-9x scope.

Waiting on T97.ca for their lower / trigger, not much else I can do.

I will be getting a Herron Arms .300BLK kit done in my Tav as soon as it does not require sacrificing my 5.56 barrel. Then I can hunt dear in AB with a .300 BLK Tavor. :)

Cant wait to see the groups those Herron Arms conversions pull on Tavs. If ACRs are any indication they should be good.
