Tavor FAQ (updated 08 December, 2008)

If I'm gonna drop my RDB and just stick with the X95, is the full Super Sabra trigger worth the ca. $800 cost?

I have the trigger and trigger pack.

For me the straighter Lightning bow trigger is worth it - it just "fits" me better and the price wasnt extreme from memory.

The standard trigger pack is not terrible on the X95 but the Geissele is a step up, is it worth the cash - tough call.

I've had my X95 for a while now but not really had an opportunity to properly shoot it. As a lefty, it took me a while to get it set up for what I need.

Had some fun today playing with a 2/3 size IPSC plate at about 100m today and was actually fairly impressed. I was able to put rounds into the upper A-zone reliably using only a 4x LPVO. That seems pretty reasonable performance for any proper use one might encounter.

Not sure if I will get the trigger bow. I didn't seem to have any issues with the OEM trigger. Its not a target rifle after all.

I have the trigger pack and bow, for me the bow is totally worth it (I prefer flat / straighter triggers) but the trigger pack is a law of demising returns as the standard trigger pack is already pretty good (REALLY good when compared with the standard pack that came with the TAR 21).

YMMV.

they needed more than one so i obliged as well.

LOL :)

Ended up getting to shoot my X95 today. :) Due to me being stupid, I forgot to bring a metal GI mag, so I was forced to use a Gen 2? PMag and surprise, surprise, it ran perfectly. First time since I've owned the X95 that it has run a PMag without any problems.

We also ran the wife's WK180 and discovered that for free-range type of shooting, it is a very long and very front heavy beast. Seriously considering picking up a second X95 for her and sell off the WK180. The X95 is just way better balanced, even if it is not exactly a lightweight rifle.

I can’t imagine ever going back to an 18.5-20” barrelled non-restricted AR style rifle because of how front heavy they are compared to a bullpup. I like short barrelled ARs but don’t like how loud they are, so the bullpup is the best of both worlds. The X95 really is a great platform once you get used to it.

I got the wife a WK180, which I like but it is way too front heavy for her. Even though the X95 is heavier overall, it is way better balanced for people who are not young, fit soldiers.
