Please god, don't tell me that show influences your decisions on buying firearms.
From the show.

tavor is $1800 gun at best. i think the t97 is better personally 1/3 the price too.
If the SKS bullpup kit were legal in Canada, you can get a 'poor mans tavor' for almost $500. Not to mention ammo is way cheaper than 5.56.
HAHA. That show thinks that EVERYTHING that it gets its hands on to be the most amazing and revolutionary design since the beginning of time.

With a 18' 6" inch barrel, no wonder its non-restricted!
Somebody drank the "Mac the Navy Seal" Kool-aid didn't they?Fanboys aside, the Tavor is a pretty decent rifle. It would be nice if it were less expensive, but to compare it to a T97 is ridiculous. I'm probably going to pick one up in the new year, but I won't be selling any of my Swiss Arms collection to do so!

No kool-aid here. Just a deep respect for other comrades in arms that spend their days doing more in the first 5 minutes after they wake up than civvies do in the whole day. Could just have easily been GSG-9, SAS, Belgians or any number of other elite units. It just happens to a be a SEAL that does the show. It is easy to make fun of the show from the couch but the guy has the chops and has done well with it.
I see a lot of guys with all the gear and black guns who are just wannabe posers. Incredibly out of shape and but really tough in the mirror. They have opinions based on not much more than the collection of all their biases with little of it based on actual usage or operations in the field and in the worst cases para-military weapons ownership is just a cheap substitute for their own lack of personal power in life.
That being said, I agree with your comments.
Glad I didn't tick you off with my nose tweaking there.I know where you're coming from, and I'll admit, I watch the show...but, Navy Seal aside, I'd wish Mac would stop trying to be so "dramatic" with all his whispering dialogue. A better fact checker would be nice too.
