Tavor Stoppages . . . . please help

Quite simple, and utterly frustrating and unacceptable.

Failure To Feed
Gas Stoppages
Bolt not locking fully forward

I am anal about maintenance, this thing is properly lubricated, the mags run stoppage free on an XCR, the ammo is good.

3 stoppages out of 10 rounds.

sure this is an accurate, nimble weapon, but if this keeps going click when its supposed to go bang I am going to throw it into a fire. . .

seriously, please help.

I have a couple of Tavors and the only time I have issues it's mag related. I find that the 10 round LAR15 mags really need to be banged in hard, and the E-Mags seem to work best for me. Check you mag release and hit it with some lube..
 
PBR, do you prefer e-mags or p-mags? I see on magpuls site that e-mags are supposed to play nicer with non-ar platforms, but I've also read on here that the tavors have no P-mag problems anyways.

I've got P-mags now, but am considering picking up a few E-mags to round things out.

The EMAGS are more expensive but I prefer them over the PMAGS. I purchased a couple dozen for my MR223.... Blaxsun can hook you up.
 
PBR, like I said man, I tried 15 different mags P Mags, IWI mags, RRA mags USGI mags and the problems are the same.

I am going to hit this thing with a sledge hammer. I should have bought a #### CZ-58. . . .
 
What kind of stoppages? I haven't had one single malfunction with my tavor. Please explain what kind of malfunctions you're having?

what do you mean by gas stoppages ? and bolt not locking fully forward ? do you mean rearward ? My Tavor is at 1500 rounds without one hiccup .. but with the 10 round LAR mags sometimes the bolt dont lock open on the last round, not a big deal it happens with my AR too with those mags , the LAR mags are not the best but worth the extra 5 fun factor .. if you have taken the rifle fully apart before make sure you have it put together correctly .. contact Canam they will take care of you..... Or you could just throw it in a fire or hit it with a sledge hammer , if you do please post pics or video...lol
 
I've gone through craploads of ammo between two Tavors, and only experienced one stoppage. It was a lefty shooting it and a spent casing deflected off his cheek and back into the action. Other than that, it runs like a champ. My first Tavor was babied and cleaned with great attention. My second one has never been cleaned.
 
Ok, so I have eliminated the mags as the issue, and we can eliminate cleaning, its well cleaned with good lube (its CLP that I am using)

am I dealing with a lemon? Is it just this one thats crap?
