When they show me the FRT for the 18.5 NR semi version or the 16" Rest semi I will gladly pick one of these up (not for a $1k though) as long it comes with a box of proprietary mags at 30 rounds, that fit the other two.

For the right price, I would GLADLY pick one of these up. Unfortunately, a SPBA AK lookalike is not worth 1000$, unless it comes with a full compliment of regular cap mags. I personally think this firearm is being brought in as a stepping stone to "regular cap magazines". Everyone needs to calm down, and try offering whatever support they can to retailers that bring new products to our tiny market.

If this has proprietary regular capacity 20 and/or 30 round mags, I'm down for it. This could open up future possibilities which will require funding ;)

Less than the price of an SKS , WIN , More than the price of an SKS , FAIL .

SKS's owe there low price to the fact they are surplus. Being made these days with the same quality components and craftsmanship an SKS would cost several hundred dollars, comparable to your VZ58s.

You and me both Brother.
Could make for an interesting fall out here
We could run around screaming "Wolverines"! and get really good at IA's and stoppages.

Pffft!! A real "Wolverine" would use a Valmet! ;)

Too bad it is not a pump action

Dlask built a functioning pump-action AR-15 in hopes of getting it classified as non-restricted. The RCMP deemed it a variant and restricted it. Good bye customer interest.

Even if Trigger Wholesale can convince the RCMP that this abortion is kosher, I don't see them setting any sales figures on fire at $1000. Price them under $400 and they might find a market, but Vz-58/CZ-858 fans have nothing to fear.
