First off, love this rifle! Shoots great, light, and eats surplus like store ammo and groups well. However on my second outing I was sighting in a temp scope I had when I noticed the stock has a 1 3/4" crack in the stock staring at the top mounting screw near the magwell.
I know Dlask no longer deals with CZ warranty, Grech isn't the most popular or trusted here from what I've read. Tenda won't switch a stock on a 6 month old rifle but if I can get CZ to talk to them they will be the middle man. I also don't want to be without the rifle while I wait for a year for the repair, or exchange the rifle for a new one as this one shoots great. Has anyone been able to just get the stock replaced under warranty at the LGS they bought it at?
The irony is that this was one of the best trips I'd had this season. I was able to do three 5 shot groups, all rounds touching, with a witness, at 65m from a portable table and sand bags. Much better than I was doing with iron sights. This was with a $75 Simmons 3-9x 40 Prosport scope. I was in heaven! Then I flip it over to show my buddy how the mag release works and the sun shows this crack. You can't even see it in the house, or the Tenda store, without a flashlight. I've only fired about 100 rounds through it so far but I expect the crack will grow over time and use.
I could get another MDT stock but I like the light wood for both function and looks. It really ended up bumming out my day...
TIA
