Both at 300yds, early morning so less cross wind.

Nics shooting big bear. I can’t measure it up for ya though as I am away and using a phone or the odd ipad at best.

Perhaps someone here can run it through on target for you and post the measurement.

Alpheus: Nice shooting, list updated.

Nice shooting Buckmastr, results page updated.

Liberty: Once I am back home (two weeks) I’ll run yours through On Target calculator along with big bears.

I went at it again with a couple of oldies this time.
A M70 Target rifle from 1967 in 308Win, 6.5-20 Leupold
A six digit serial # 40X in 260 Rem, 6.5-20 Leupold
A bit of wind but I was happy getting 10 inside 3"
Lots of fun! Thanks for the challenge.

Second time shooting at 300 meters. Should have some room to improve.

Finally got out to try the challenge. I did it on my first try. I’m listing it, but I plan to improve on it in the future. For me the challenging part was the barrel heat. Before I started the challenge, I shot 4 rounds on another target to zero at 300 yards. I then immediately started my official 10 shots. My first 5 on the target were making a nice neat little group on the left side of the bull but then the barrel mirage started to kick in. I still managed to pull through though.

Nice job Underthegun, great accuracy too. I have been very impressed by the Tikka’s in this challenge.

My range is presently closed due to extreme fire danger. Once things cool down I have a brand new custom barrel from Insite to play with. I will be shooting 155 Bergers as well.

bigbear's target with his .223 Tikka. A very nice grouping under 2" !!

And his target with the .308 Win AI AT. Results have been updated.

Checking for “record 10 shot groups” by International Benchrest Shooters in the HG class (no LG class at 300yds/M.)
300 yds ..... 0.669” set in 1992
300 M ...... 0.918” set in 1957
The motivation to go sub-1” is strong:)

I don’t shoot 300M very often but am going to give sub 1” a try a few times. So, today I dragged out a 6 Dasher and gave it a go. I can tell from today’s effort, it is going to be a challenge without wind flags but once I tune that vertical out of the load, I think it will be quite doable. As you can see from today’s target I got caught with the same condition twice. But, I have confidence that someday, the wind will blow them all into the group:)

Well, for the 2nd try today I added 0.2gr powder and looks like it resolved vertical. Mirage was brutal and with a straight 40X nothing I could do. Still got those two floating off to the right. Maybe next time:)

Trying to do this on my phone so bear with me. It's the very first group that I tried after I got my Tier One bipod; fired from prone at 300 meters, with what I hope is going to be the load. Still feeling out my bipod technique as well. Rifle is a Barnard action , Bartlein 31" 1-10, Robertson composite stock and 8.5-25 Mark 4.

44 grains of Varget, Norma brass, 210M and 210 VLD.
